BOG Dinner and kids not ordering

If I book a table for 4 with 2 of the people being kids (3, 1)...can we just order two adult meals? The little ones will not eat but I want to have the experience. Just wondering if we can do that since it is a preset price.

The one-year old will not need to order, but technically, the three-year old should. You may get a server that is okay with them not ordering and you may not.

It might depend on your server whether or not you'll be charged for the three year old. Because technically you should be according to the Disney rules. Sometimes they'll take pity on you. We had a server do that for us when one of the kids didn't like anything at the character breakfast and didn't want to interact with the characters, but we were fully expecting to pay for her. I would go into the meal expecting to pay.

Bog is unique. Treat it as you would a buffet. Each and every person is expected to pay their age price or use the appropriate number of credits.

If your 3 yo won’t eat anything there then you should cancel or plan on paying and not consuming

Do not put your server in an awkward position. It is very clear.

At a “Prie Fixe” meal every person is charged whether they eat or not

BOG is now classified as a fixed cost meal. Everyone 3 and over are required to pay. The server may make a judgement call, but that should not be expected.

You may not be aware that BOG dinner recently switched to the same pricing model as CRT. You can no longer order a la carte.

If you mean seeing and enjoying inside the castle then just book breakfast or lunch where you can control your credit usage AND you get much better value for your credits. The dinner menu seems to be greatly improved but not for 2 credits or required payment for non-eaters. If I do dinner it will be OOP.

I've done breakfast, lunch and dinner and honestly dinner is just not much different. You meet the Beast, a clear difference but other than the server taking your order (vs pre-order or kiosk) and getting your drink refills it was still the same rooms, the same sound levels, my food was delivered for both meals. Save dinner for another trip when all can appreciate the food.

Yes, they are required to order if over age 2. BOG dinner is prix fixe, meaning everyone there has to pay a set price for dinner, whether they eat it or not.

I would try to book lunch or breakfast. Both are counter service and both do need ADR's. You can order as much or as little as you wish for both of these meals.

The main reason for booking was for pictures with the Beast. I will look at the other options though.

I figured, but if you want to take the kids into the Castle, it is worth the visit. If they have no interest in that, I would skip it as well.
