BOG breakfast, tell me it's a typo

Looking at reserving breakfast for our trip in October, checked the Disney site and it shows prices of $24.00 for adult entrees and $14.00 for kids entrees (really, a $14.00 kid size bowl of oatmeal?) Lunch entrees range from $12.99 - $16.99 for an adult entrée and $6.99 to $8.49 for a kid entrée. What am I missing?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe breakfast is table service whereas lunch is quick service, so that explains the difference in pricing.

Not a typo. Prices were raised for breakfast recently. It is considered a CS meal (when dealing with DDP)

You missed the announcement of meal price increases across the resort. While most were focused on cutbacks, especially in entertainment, menu prices were raised.

Not a typo. I asked DD what she wanted for breakfast from their kids meal. She said cereal with milk. I'm not paying $14 for cereal with milk. She will enjoy her scrambled eggs.

My wife and I shared a meal and I am a big eater.It was enough to fill up with the pastries.
Get a pre-opening breakfast at around 8 then get in line for your fav ride without fast pass

That is expensive! Lunch isn't great but certainly a better deal however you don't get that possible early entry.

Yup. Disney certainly puts a value on that early entry. then after open, they rely on availability and the Beauty and The Beast environs in their value proposition.

OUCH! I have been there for dinner and lunch so thought we would check out breakfast, but no! Not going to pay those prices! Will book for lunch so DGS can experience the place.

Breakfast = Quick Service, 1 credit or an arm.
Lunch = Quick Service, 1 credit or a few dollars more than the average QS but you get better food and theme.
Dinner = Table Service, 1 credit or you're average Disney padded bill but you get the BEAST with your theme.
Done them all and at this point kinda over it. I wish it were TS for all three meals ....

Great QS credit for Dining Plan, if you would use for a breakfast anyway.
But as a TiW holder, I'm better off at CP - get way more food for about the same amount of money.

Don't they already have a type of pricing tier when they raise the buffet prices for holidays?

Yep, prices increased. Supply was WAY lower then demand so Disney took advantage. Can't really blame them. Any intelligent company would have done the same thing since the market was obviously there.
