BOG Breakfast Questions

I've been trying to snag a ressie at BOG and finally caught an opening at breakfast. I was really hoping for lunch or dinner so I haven't researched the new breakfast at all. So I'm trying to figure out just how this one works. LOL

1. As I understand it, you order off a menu and have the option to order just a cupcake and beverage. Is this correct?
-- We are mainly going because DD is taking a friend who would love to eat there. We've done it and weren't crazy about it but we're willing to go again for DD's friend. But I just don't know if the breakfast menu is going to appeal to our group. So I was considering eating before we go and then just getting the cupcake and drink so that DD and friend can enjoy the restaurant together.
2. Our ADR time is 8:40 and the park is supposed to open at 9:00 that day. How far ahead of our ADR will they let us in the park? I've read about people using these ADRs just to get in early to ride 7DMT before the park opens. That isn't our reason for booking it but I certainly would not be opposed to catching a ride before the lines get long. But with our ADR time, the park will surely be open before we're done with breakfast. So would we be able to get in early enough to ride one time BEFORE our ADR?

1. Yes. You can just order a Mickey straw, I suspect.

2. They'll let you in with the early ADR group around 8, generally, but can hold you until later. But do not count on being able to ride before 9AM. You really do need to go to your ADR first.

There are zero guarantees that they open 7DMT before the rope drop crowd arrives. Most of the time they do, but we were held up one time until the rope drop crowd go there.

Well, beyond that, it is extremely unlikely they open 7DMT by 8:30. If it is open before rope drop, it's by a handful of minutes, not a half hour, in the majority of cases. If there is an Early Morning Magic, it opens earlier... but not for someone killing time pre-ADR.
