BOG Breakfast or Lunch?

We have a breakfast ressie at 9:25 on a 9am opening day.
Any suggestions for strategies?
Try to get there asap to get seated earlier ?
Try to RD Peter Pan or Fairytale Hall before breakfast ?

I meant you don't have to order a meal. You can just get coffee. You can just get a cupcake. You can just get the fun straw they sell.
OMG people do this??? Sorry I'd be embarrassed making an ADR and just ordering a coffee for example. Its kind of obvious that people who do this are there just to get a jump start on the rides. But hey, that's just my opinion. Some may be comfortable with it, but I wouldn't be.

Yes people do it. I wish they'd make it a fixed price meal so that those who really do want to eat there can eat there and not see people "sharing" a straw and a cupcake just so they can get a jump on rides.

Do people actually buy a straw, and sit at the table for an hour just waiting for MK to open? :rotfl: :lmao: If they keep this up, i can see BOG enforcing a minimum charge or a fixed price meal.

They've been doing it since about 3 months after BoG opened for breakfast. Once Disney put a la carte items on the menu, it became an easy and cheap way to get a jump on rope drop crowds.

I don't know if they actually stay in the restaurant, seated at a table. I think most who do this, go in and get what they wanted to avoid the $10 cancellation fee and then head over to wherever CMs are holding them until they open 7DMT.

Many of us have thought Disney would put a stop to it long before now by making it a true prix fix, but they haven't.

We had both lunch and dinner there in May. Dinner was okay, the atmosphere and detail inside the castle was worth seeing but we would not book it again. Lunch was pretty good and we enjoyed the braised pork dish. However, we LOVE the sweet & spicy chicken waffle sandwich at Sleepy Hollow for lunch and nothing can beat the fruit & nutella waffle sandwich there for breakfast (or any meal for that matter) so we will not book BOG again. If you have never been to BOG, it might be worth one trip to see inside. People I know who have eaten breakfast there felt it was good but overpriced but I guess you pay for the atmosphere as well.

I've also seen enough people say that they're willing to pay the $10 cancellation fee per person just to have the ADR and get into the park behind the ropes. Ridiculous.

Hello and sorry if this was answered previously,

But we are a family of three and very light eaters, so can we share a breakfast entree?
We don't want to get early park entry, we just don't want to feel stuffed or bloated while we're at MK afterwards.

I was wondering this as well. I could easily eat just a couple of pastry or two if they are small and be fine and my husband isn't big on breakfast and usally skips it so we'd probably share like two meals between us and the Littles who will be 6,3 and 1.
Hate feeling stuffed, so I hear you there.

YES, breakfast is a QS. Just like any other QS meal at MK, you can order as many or as few meals as you want. You can order all kids meals if you want. You don't have to order any meals (but if you don't order a meal, you won't get a pastry plate). You can order only cupcakes. Order as much or as little as you want.

BOG breakfast was one of or most underwhelming meals at WDW. I would not bother with it again. If you've never been to BOG and it's the only ADR you can get, then it may still be worth it just to see inside, because it does have great atmosphere. But it you can lunch or dinner, then I would do that. Neither are in our top list of meals at WDW, but they are good and definitely better than breakfast.

Each person's experience may vary...our breakfast was great at BOG, and it really started the morning off well for our MK day. We had the poached eggs open face croissant sandwich with melted Brie and bacon. Great sandwich, even if it was a bit of a challenge to eat. And we could have split it, especially with the pastries.

Agreed. I think it's assumed that anyone providing feedback is basing it on their own experience.

With the included plate of pastries, I find it easy to split an entree here to save a little money. My Mom and I could easily split a quiche and if still hungry fill up on the muffins and breads!

I would definitely RD PP first and you may even have time to squeeze in Fairytale Hall, depending on how close to the front of the rush to Fantasyland you are and then plan to get to your 9:25 as close as possible to that time.

Thank you for your advise

We prefer the lunch as well. The French Onion soup was pretty good...paired with a salad. We've found the dinner to be okay. It's really the atmosphere that makes the meal!

Back from our trip. We tried to get res at different times breakfast and lunch to no avail. We kept our 9AM res and breakfast was great. It was a bad time slot, it was too pricey but it still was a good breakfast. The Grandkids loved it!

Thanks for everyone's comments before.

How long did it take to get through breakfast ?
Was it a bad time slot because it was busy and therefore took long ?
