Is the set rule after BOG breakfast (on EMM days) that the breakfast crowd can only line up and not actual ride 7DMT until official opening time? Wondering if anyone if having experiences where they still allow you in

"Set rules" and PPO procedures are two words that don't go too well together, but generally speaking on an EMM morning they will hold you until very close to 9AM.

We did EMM in August. They let BOG ride carousel close to end of time and that was it. I know that because I asked why people without wrist bands were on and they explained- I understood that but was glad they weren’t letting on other rides.

Why should someone who didn’t pay for a special event ticket get to ride during the event hours? I understand lining up in regular line too but if I paid and they let non paying guests RIDE prior to event ending I’d be disappointed. Not fair at all.

This past year we went in January, and has PPO BoG. After eating it was about 8:45, and they let us ride 7DMT. We didn’t realize what EMM was until later. It was our first Disney trip, and we were kinda clueless. We just saw others riding and walked into the line.

Doesn't the event go beyond park opening time?

I agree -- and it's an expensive event. I'm doing it next month and you better believe if they let others ride before 9am, they'll be hearing about it.

We visited in September on an EMM morning and in June on a regular morning. We had PPO breakfasts both days.

On the regular non-EMM day, we were allowed in the FP queue for 7DMT around 8:40-8:45. I was able to get three rides in before the rope drop crowd arrived.

On the EMM day, we were allowed in the Standby queue around the same time, maybe a few minutes later. EMM guests got priority (through the FP queue) but we still rode once before rope drop. Right as we were walking through the exit, the rope drop crowd was arriving so we just headed straight to Peter Pan.

I hope this information is helpful.

It is, thank you. Did you have any wait at Peter Pan then? I have a fp for it on another day and would witch it to something else if we could get our ride in easily at that time

Peter Pan was a walk-on, but because people tend to linger during the interactive queue we probably spent 15-20 minutes from when we entered the queue until we got off of the ride.

We have done the BOG early breakfast a couple of times. The last one was in February during an EMM. They held us basically until close to 9 at 7D and the RD crowd started to line up for the EMM day. For the non-EMM we got out of 7D faster and almost did a walk on for Peter Pan. Because we were let on later for EMM PP was in no way a walk on because RD was already there. It is that second ride that we no longer found an advantage for eating at BOG. Both dates allowed one walk on for 7D. I still found it worth the extra $ over a regular breakfast.

OP, what month are you looking at? As of now, there are no BOG PPO reservations in inventory beyond mid to late May. As far as I’m aware, no one knows why or if they will eventually be added.

So... if you’re thinking about it because your 180 mark is approaching, just know that for now, it’s a moot point.

Fingers crossed it’ll come back!

Feb 4th, we have it for 8am

So keeping our PP fp on another day and heading elsewhere after 7dmt probably makes the most sense? Would space or BTMRR be a better choice?

If you are done with 7DMT by 9:15, you can easily walk on Mansion, then BTMRR, then Splash is it’s open. If it’s not, you can do Pirates instead.

If it’s later, you can skip Mansion and pick up the plan with BTMRR at 9:30ish.

I was thinking we would be done at Mine Train by 9:00/9:05 at the latest. Then either to Space/Buzz/Pooh/7DMT(fp) or BTMRR(x2)/Splash/Pirates/maybe HM/7DMT(fp)....We have another rope drop day at MK and plan to either do Space or BTMRR(x2) on that day. I have BTMRR fp on both days as well

Either plan would probably work. If the crowd calendar I looked at is close to accurate Feb 4 is a low crowd day. You will be behind the RD crowd for Space but you would probably still be fine. We have been just behind the RD crowd going to Space and it was the Thursday before President's day weekend. It worked fine. I am no expert. Believe others over myself.

I would probably do the Space route on day 1 so you can basically go on all the major rides in Frontier and Adventure land in a row on day 2. Although I don't know your FP times which could change things.

So, if you're doing EMM, then what's a good touring strategy at rope drop? We're doing the EMM on 1/28 and I have fastpasses starting at 10:45 for Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, and Jungle Cruise. I was thinking to hit Haunted Mansion and then maybe Pirates before heading back over for breakfast before 10. I'm really unsure what rides to prioritize at RD that day.

That day I have fp at 7DMT (9:50-10:50), Pirates (10:55-11:55), and BTMRR (11:55-12:55). I'm thinking of switching things around to do BTMRRx2 after the early Mine Train ride. Maybe 7DMT (at 9), BTMRR, BTMRR, Splash, Pirates, HM, 7DMT(fp), Space (with changed fp), then something different with 3rd fp

That might be a lot to fit in before your 7DMT FP expires but you can drop HM if need be.

That 7DMT FP is a bit tougher for options as it makes you come back to the center early. If you kept it you could probably do Space, Buzz, 7DMT FP, Poo if time, Pirates FP, Splash, BTMRR FP. Then you can try for a 4th FP.
