I found BOG Res. today for Dec 9 and the 14th- it looks like they might of opened more for people! If looking for one- I would try again! I finally got one!
Now the hard part!

What would you do?

I have a Desert Wishes for Dec 9th and got to reservations for BOG- one at 4:40 and one for 7:10- which one to keep? I was thinking of getting rid of the Dessert Party and taking the 7:10 BOG That Day we have CRT at 8:20am- plus there is EMH- 2 hrs in the evening.

Also have dessert part for the 12th and the 14- I snagged a BOG on the 14th for 4pm and I also have a CP res for 8:35am-

I want to keep the Dessert party for the 12th and the 14th- but thinking of cancelling the dessert party for the 9th and just go with BOG on the 9th at 7:10- What would you do???

Not sure I would do the dessert party more than once if it were us. We would keep the 12th and cancel the others. Once is enough for us. I also would choose the 7:10 BOG on the 9th and do something else on the 14th, but again we like to do different things and not repeat meals. BOG is very expensive as well. I hope you have the meal plan.

If you definitely want to do 2 dessert parties, I would space them out s much as possible.

Just our preferences. Kudos on getting 2 BOG ressies to begin with. That's a hard one to get.

I would keep only one Dessert Party. Experience Wishes and the sweets once and then use that time to do other things on another day. The electric light parade is not very visible from the Dessert Party.

BOG was very good. When checking in insist on the main ball room.

I can't imagine doing 3 dessert parties on one trip. Once is fine.

I would do BOG on the 9th at 7:10. The 4:40 and the 4pm are too early and I wouldn't do either of those.

Most importantly, don't you have someone in your life besides anonymous message board posters you can ask? Like, perhaps the people you are traveling with?

When checking in insist on the main ball room.
Many people prefer the west wing to the main ballroom, so it's really a matter of preference. Both of these rooms are preferable to the rose room, though, so definitely request one of them.

I agree! When we checked in to BOG, we politely requested the West Wing. The attendant said that was the most popular dining room and it may add up to 40 minutes to our wait. We said that was fine. We were seated within 5-10 minutes, though. :) We loved the dark, "scary" atmosphere with the thunderstorm! The ball room was also lovely with the snow falling outside of the windows, but also crowded and the tables seemed really close together.

That is a little Harsh!- WOW- and yes I do- I just wanted other peoples insight- this is our first time staying onsite and doing the dining plan- plus we only been there one other time and had no clue on what was going on- so to get a handle on what would work best for us is asking what others thought!

Its just me, DH and DD (which she doesn't know yet) I wanted to make it the most special time for her-

thanks everyone else for not JUDGING me when asking their Opinion!

I loved the dessert party, but can't imagine doing it more than once in a trip. Again on the next trip? Maybe. But not twice---and certainly not three times--in less than a week! That's a lot of time and money to spend on the same thing over and over. I wouldn't do BOG and dessert party in the same day. I think you just won't be hungry enough, even with an early dinner, to really get enough out of the dessert party. The day we went, we did BOG for a late lunch, just had a snack around dinner time, and then the desserts. It was a perfect day!

I do agree with this too. We ate at BOG at 6:15PM and skipped dessert, but we were still really full from that delicious food (we all had the scallop and shrimp pastry dish, and I only ate half of it!). By 8:00PM when the party started we all just picked at our desserts. Still had fun, but wished we had more tummy room.

I would do the dessert party & the BOG on seperate days Personally I think one dessert party wil be enough Since you know how hard it is to get the BOG ADR friendly reminder cancel as soon as you can to free up for someone else As far as unkind remarks, don't let it get to you This is the right place to come for others points of view/opinions I've been around awhile & still throw plans out for others to recommend and tweak Have a terrific time

I would suggest you never ask any questions on this forum. Just continue to give your warm and helpful advice on life!:confused3

Now that is funny! :rotfl:

I decided to keep the BOG for Dec 9th and cancel the other BOG's I had and also going to cancel the Dessert party for the 9th. So any takers?
