BOG ADR - Any Tips?

My 180 date isn't until mid April, but I just wanted to see how hard it is to get a reservation at BOG. It is now 8am (I know online opens at 6am and phones open at 7am) so I tried for the last possible date (i.e. 180 days out today) for a table of 4....and nothing! And this is only 2 hrs after reservations start.

So any tips? Any advantage in having our travel agent book it (through Small World vacations)? We'll be arriving on a Sunday and I'd like to try for the Thursday night...so not the first day possible to try for ADRs.
Really want to book this for one of our dinners.

We're also trying to get BOG for dinner. We had lunch there last trip (Apr '13) and it sure was yummy. I guess I was being somewhat optimistic because I had BOG on my list for our arrival date. :lmao: I do have other nights to try for if that doesn't work, but it would be most convenient on that first night.

My 180 date is March 10. I've read on here that it can't hurt to try early (by speaking to a real CM on the phone, not the automated or online system). I just got off the phone and the first thing they ask is for your resort confirmation, which obviously has your check-in date, and I got denied.

Trying again later or tomorrow! Haha. If we don't get it, we won't be too disappointed. It'll be around for a while, we'll get to it eventually.

Just to give you some hope... I made a dinner reservation on February 15 for April 18. Our reservation is for 5:15, which is perfect for us. I was really surprised that it was that easy to get one Easter weekend!

I did BOG at 180+4, for a party of 3. We wanted 7PM and was offered 7:20PM. Of course that's the last week of August, which traditionally is a slower time (if there is such a thing anymore). The message here seems to be that if you can't get it, don't give up, keep checking every so often. Seems a number of ressies come available closer to the date as people refine their plans.

Will have to give them a heads up we'll be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary that night. Can't wait!

Good luck! :D

Our December 2013 trip was a last minute decision - no chance of the 180 +10 day window for booking, we were only 6 weeks from our arrival date. I tried for BOG daily for weeks, no luck.

About 10 days before our arrival date we got lucky! 5:10pm on our MK day became available. I had been here on the forums when someone posted that BOG had released more dates in December & checked right away.

Luck, Disney, & the Dis boards made it possible :)

I would get up and try to get your BOG adr first online, right at 6am. If you don't get what you want, then I'd call immediately at 7.

It seems like they open up ADRs for BOGs a few weeks ahead of time. For my trip in August, after checking the site multiple times everyday, I finally got the perfect time that I was looking for, a couple weeks before we left. I also followed a cancellation thread for the month I was going-people post when they cancel adrs so others can hopefully scoop them up! I'd look for something like this if you don't get what you want.

Good luck!

Yesterday was our 180 +10. Tried to get on at 6am, but all I got were error messages. Called at 7 am and got 2 BOG reservations for 8/31 6:10, and 9/2 at 5:20. There was nothing for the other days (8/26-8/2), but on a good note there is still availability today for 9/2. I think as long you try at your 180 day mark you should be ok as long you are flexible with your days

Thank you for all the responses. Good thing to note that some of you had luck trying again. Guess I'll have 6 months to keep trying. :rotfl:

mag...I worry about getting those errors too as I imagine there are lots of people online right at 6am. I know even when looking at Disney site sometimes, it says 'Server Too Busy'.

We're not really super flexible with out days as we aren't getting park hopprs and so will only be able to pick the Sunday...arrival night, Monday or Thursday (with other MK dinners being CRT and Ohanas)

One thing I forgot to add...the night we are selecting will (most likely) be a night for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party (which means MK closes at 7pm for non ticket holders.) Do you think that will make it easier or harder to get a ressie (anytime between 5pm and 7pm is fine)???

I logged on at my 180 date about 8:45am EST and was able to have my pick of times for the 7th (and final!) night of our stay. There was nothing available for the previous evenings but that 7th was wide open so I picked 6:05. Also a table of 4. ETA: And that night is a EMH in the PM for MK.
