Ok. I've read several things about mission space on here and have almost been spooked away by people saying they had gotten sick or almost gotten sick. Then I have read about people almost getting sick on body wars, and I'm thinking.... "why?" So if body wars didn't bother me, then am I likely to be okay on mission space as well? I just thought that if maybe I had a point of reference that might make me feel better :)

DH gets sick on Body Wars, he was fine on MS. He says the video is better synced on MS, which is why he doesn't have a problem.

I rode body wars a number of years ago and it ruined my whole day! I was sick, dizzy and felt like I might hurl at any moment all day from it!

I was told the visual was out of sync and that is why it bothered so many people! I understand it is closed right now so maybe the are fixing it!

MS was a breeze! It did not bother me at all and was the neatest feeling I have ever felt in my life! you have no idea you are spinning! I will ride this one again! ::yes::

thanks for the replies!! I was kinda nervous about doing mission space, but I've never had a problem with motion sickness or simulators so I thought I'd probably give it a whirl. It's nice to have reassuring voices though.:sunny:

By the time they give you all the warnings for MS you really start to wonder why you are doing this to yourself when you are supposed to be enjoying your vacation. I'm glad I stuck it out, sweaty palms and all, because it was perhaps one of the best rides DS and I have ever been on. In fact, we rode it 3 times!

DS and I both ended up in the First Aid station 3 years ago after Body Wars. Now I just have to pass by this attraction and I start to feel queazy. I also do not like small, dark, enclosed spaces and MS did not bother me a bit. I think is has alot to do with it being so well ventilated - you never have that stuffy feeling.

You are talking apples and oranges they are not remotely the same. Body wars is a simulator that moves about with the action of the movie.

Mission space is a centrifuge that spins you at a high rate of speed to simulate the G forces of space craft take off, when the G force suddenly stops you feel weightless by comparison. Since you are in a small enclosed capsule and you are watching a movie and not actually looking out you cannot see the spinning.
If you look other than straight ahead at the screen you will get very sick, some people like me get very sick anyway.
Made my bloodpressure shoot up to the point I almost passed out.
