Does anyone know of something similar to BodyGlide that's found more easily? According to the BodyGlide website, the only places that sell it are all at least 30 minutes away and while I want to avoid blisters, I'm not going to drive that. :confused3

Edit: Does anyone know if it's sold at Dick's Sporting Goods?

Band Aid makes a friction stick. I bought it at walgreens. Looks like a miniature deodarant. Works well.

Dick's sporting goods carries BodyGlide...at least ours does. Bandaid Friction block is very similiar and most drug stores and Walmart have it.

We used the Bandaid brand Blister Block. We found it at Walmart. It comes the shape of a deodorant stick and thats how you apply it, too. It worked wonders, even for DD5 who is quite the complainer. It works on existing blisters, too.

I use Dove solid deodorant--works great! :thumbsup2 I just pick up a travel size so I can take it to the park with me. I read this on the disboards a few years ago.

Nobody carries Body Glide in my area anymore. Dick's Sporting Goods says they have it but everytime I get there to buy it, they are sold out.

I've used the Blister Block but didn't like it as much as Body Glide. I do carry Blister Block into the parks with me since DD will ask for something part way thru the day.

Now 2 months before the trip, I order it online and I'm much happier.

Monistat anti chafing gel.It is in the womens products near the monistat.Works like a charm. I use it anywhere I don't want chafing or blisters

Moisture wicking socks always worked better for us (bought at Wal-mart) rather than using body glide or chaffing gel.

I LOVE Bodyglide with my ankle socks & Crocs !!
You can find it at Dick's Sporting Goods, or at most bicycle stores.

If you can't locate around town, just go to Amazon.com & you can order it there. LOVE IT !!!!!:santa::santa::santa:

Off topic, Nothnbutherainsir, where did you get that pic of the LOST actors on Tower of Terror?? I love it!

Some great suggestions here - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1506559 including Monistat anti chafing which is widely available.

I will give the Monistat product a plug. It is chore to find it sometimes even with a bunch of potential retailers to find it at. I tend to find it more often available at Walmart, but the word must be out because it's a matter of just happening to be there at the right time because more often than not, I find it's sold out. But, it is wonderful stuff!

That's funny! Just the other day I was thinking how this Diser and her friends have an incredible resemblance to some people on a TV show!! (I don't watch Lost, it was too confusing!)

Ok, back on topic now................

I've used the Monistat Anti Chaffing Cream for at least two trips and it
works great. I find it either at Target or Walmart (i've even seen it at
King Soopers/Kroger stores). I've also got my DS to use it if I just squart
some in his hand without letting him see the tube (I just say that it's to
prevent the heat rash and he uses it--so it also good for men--there is
a unscented one). The cream starts out as a cream but quickly turns
into a powder that stays on all day.

I love it .I use it as makeup primer too.It is the same ingredients as some of the high end primers but yet sooo much cheaper and easier to find
