Body Fails....

Wasn't improper footwear. I always wear flop-flops, I have flat feet and arches hurt my feet. Wore the same flip-flops for EIGHT DAYS this past November. No aching feet whatsoever.
Feet never even hurt during that 2015 visit either. However, I would indeed have a problem if I had worn sneakers. It took me two visits in the 90's to realize that I cannot do sneakers all day long. When I started wearing flat shoes, suddenly, no more aching feet.
I’m the other way around..I cannot do flip flops, Crocs or those cute little Go Walk shoes anymore. I need a good sneaker.

Yes. To me, common sense dictates to wear you best (and broken in) sneakers, and that's what I was doing in 97 and 98. Firm Support. I just couldn't figure it out. And I mean my feet would hurt badly. Who knew flip-flops would remedy this. I always bring flat sneakers with me as well, but my feet are cooler in the flip flips, no sweating.

Yes, that's certainly embarrassing. Glad you got to the bottom of your problem!
Mine weren't my shoes (flip flops), I'd been walking for days in those flip flops in 2015, wore them during the summer of 2016, killed them for 8 Disney days in November 2017. I have never had foot fatigue. I know where my fatigue came from. It was from the fact that I was about on day three of the CONSTANT walking in the flip flops. My body was just getting used to it. By the next morning I was back out on the WDW trek and no more foot fatigue problems. I am also more fit than I was in 2015. So during my 2017 visit, I wondered if fatigue would set in, but not once. And I did 17 hour days for 8 days straight. Really proud of that 2017 trip!

Your fall reminds me a a pro soccer player friend (in the 80's) who was wearing cleated footwear. He went to slide into a kick, but on whatever surface he was on (I forget the details) the cleats did not ALLOW him to slide, so his leg was stopped, and his knee went pop. Career stifler.
The irony is that I bought them because they advertised a good slip free grip. Being on the upper end of life numbers, I thought that was a good thing. Turns out it had the opposite affect. I'm also at the age that when I go to the doctors one of the first things they ask is if you have fallen recently. I didn't think there would be any harm in being truthful because I knew why I had fallen and had taken the corrective action. They didn't see it that way and made a bunch of neurological appointments for me, which I cancelled. Since I parked the shoes I haven't even come close to falling. Sometimes us older folks really do know what we are talking about.

As far as your experience is concern, I probably wouldn't have gone to see anyone unless it happened again and I couldn't not figure out why. I certainly would if it happened again though.
