LOL- I ordered a bed frame from Bobs for my daughter but not the mattress- when the guys were delivering it I said "I should have just ordered the mattress at the same time" and the guy shakes his head and says "don't do it, go to a mattress store!"

LOL! Yup. I originally bought ours because at one time Bob's had a good reputation if standing behind what they sold. I'm in CT and Bob had a decent reputation, not just as a business person, but as a good neighbor in the community. I guess he has sold and now his part is just the commercials and his name.

zombie thread...that said, I'm gonna chime in on Bobs brand mattresses. We had a WONDERFUL king size mattress,from Bobs, lasted us 13+ years. It finally got too saggy and sloppy to be comfortable (RIP) so we researched,and spent a boatload of money on a new,queen sized mattress.Shopped various retailers,ended up buying from Sears, big name, super expensive well rated mattress. Yup. As soon as we got it,I HATED it. No support like our previous one. But my DH loved it, so I kept quiet. We bolstered it up underneath with extra support boards. No good. it was AWFUL. so after about 8-9 months of suffering,I went back to Bobs discount furniture- chose the most perfect firm(2nd to the top tier price) queen size,and had them deliver it. When the delivery men switched the mattress out, one of them said"why would you swap that(fancy looking uncomfortable,nearly new)mattress for this Bobs brand one?" I just rolled my eyes. (I gave my old one to my ds,he uses it on his floor with 8 inches of memory foam on top lol) and I LOVELOVELOVE my Bobs brand mattress! I won't bother going elsewhere again after this. They are solid quality,many choices,and good prices.

Invest in a good mattress. You spend at least 1/3 of the day no it so it mind as well be something that is comfortable. We invested in a pranasleep mattress and will never look back.

Can you tell us more about the PranaSleep mattress? Which model do you have-- plush, super plush, firm?

I thought about getting a mattress from Bob's. I asked them to tell me where the mattress was made (just out of curiosity, I wanted to see how much of it was imported), and they refused to answer the question.

funny, but this zombie thread was bumped at just the right time our daughter is moving into an apartment, and needs a bunch of lower cost furniture - we were considering Bob's, Ikea, odd lot, etc.....this thread just wiped Bob's off the list.
in re to mattresses: we bought 2 queens & 1 twin mattress from Costco (all are sleep science 10" memory foam) & LOVE them. great price for a fantastic mattress - all are amazingly comfy, & like new even after years of use.
