Bob's dicount Furniture

What is happening?
we have never dealt with them, my dh wants to get a leather couch and was looking at their website.
the prices are good, but I don't really know anything about them
 
Yes, I have two rooms of furniture from them..I hear their Customer Service is a nightmare! I luckily haven't had to deal with them..

I will say,.what we bought from them was not cheap...they have some cheap sets and ours was not and its pretty much crap...the bedroom set is real wood and its nice except that the knobs are plastic and of course they dont stay on
 

My mom has purchased lots of furniture from them. She got the goof proof and has had to call for them to come and clean stains. They once came out to fix a chair and ended up replacing it because it couldnt be fixed. So we have had great experiences so far.

I doubt you can sue for a missed delivery. Is it late or did the miss the day completely? I bet you can get the delivery charge back though.
 
We have a bedroom set and a living room set from Bob's. We have absolutely no complaints, the furniture has held out and when we first got them we had great customer service. However I know more than one person who will never deal with them again either because of crappy furniture or because of customer service. So I am not that surprised to hear you are having a hard time. I'm sorry, I hope it works out!

Its 2 deliveries now.

Well one cam damage and one they missed. Two days I had to take. This all because the furniture I picked up was dammage. I am well past them saving me the delivery charge.
 
Dealt with a manager Laura in customer service, and they are going to di very little for me .
Because my order is so small. They bascially give you a % of your order, even though I am going through the same inconvenience that someone with a larger order.
 
Let me know if you guys want to hear the whole story,It is mind blowing, but I am quite to see noone else is going through simillar stuff with them rifght now.
 
I have a sectional and dinning room set from them. Both came undamaged on time.

Okay first let me state this is not a story.

I bought a coffee table set.
Not wanting to take any time off work I picked it up.

When I picked it up the lady told me I was lucky as Bobs Furniture just had a new computer system installed. Apparently they must have used Pete's Discount Comuuuter Company, because nothing was working.

Well I headed home feeling lucky. It ran out when I opened the box and all three tables had damages.
I called the store and they told me systems were down but to call tomorrow morning to an 800 number.

I tried once at my desk weaited on hold till I had to go to a meeting 15 minutes later. There hold music/stick I believe is made with attempt to force you off the line. It is a short horny overlapping couple of measures of music, then every minute or so Bob voice pops up and say "I HATE WAITING ON LINE OR HOLD" and he suggests to do what I want online. I tried the online thing while I am on hold having little faith in either. 2 Weeks later they still have not responded to my MyBOB.com mssages. All I can say is they should have blasted this outside Waco instead of Achey Breaky Heart.

So I tried first thing at lunch and after I swear over an hour on hold. I got somebody and they set up a delivery durring the week with the replacement. I was feeling lucky again. A little sccared but Lucky.

Furniture comes and one of end tables has the same damage.

So one of the end tables are damaged. So the delivery guy is about to take all the tables he brought, but then I suggested that I keep the good end table. Not fully confident that the next delivery will be any better. He thinks thats a good idea and I am feeling lucky again. I mean I had to waste a vacation day but I am feeling lucky.I have one undamged end table.

He calls in the problem and says they(Bobs) will call me tomorrow and set up a new delivery date.

I wait 3 days to monday no one calls.

It is with great trepidation that I decide on the following monday morning to do what I was dreading and call Bobs 800 number. An hour later a cheery voice drags me away from the hold music/stict that is now indelibly droned into my head.

She seems very sincere and apolegetic, and asssured me if the computer system was functioning she would be wiping all my problems away.
Of course its not really working so there is nothing she can do. Except take my number down and make sure someone calls me tuesday.

I will just let you guess as to what happens tuesday, and head straidgt to wednseday morining with me on Hold. It was here that I think I tried to start talking to the Bobs voice that pops up intermitinly. It must have worked because I was only on hold for 20 minutes.
I finaaly get a cheery voice, they really do have cherry voice. I think Bob might be putting soemthing in the water.
Anyway she sounds cheery until she sounds sad for me. Yet she offers me a ray of hope. No solution as the system to set up delivewrier and review cases is down. I ask her if imobolized, lost, OPD might be better expresions for their system.

I hope you get it resolved. I was actually looking on their site a week ago for a coffee table set as well. I'm glad I didn't order anything.
 
So to move on my thursday call was nice. The lady brought meup to date on their system. Which anyday was going to ba a time saving device that Bob and Co had envisioned.
But for now she was gooing to make sure someone called me back that day or the next morning.

Noone called.

Saturday rolls around. I get the family bagels, make a pot coffee and sit down to some good old fashined Elevator music. I kinda not sure how long it took me to get through, but I do!

Then it happens.

I am not sure of where customer service is located for Bob's but I am guessing USA Because IMO only few other people would have the Wilson's to do what the next customer service person did to me.

I explain my hardships and hopes to get a delivery date set. And as we are talking I get a call.
I ask her to hold on for a second, use call waiting. Its a survey company, I tell them I really do not have time right now, but when I go back to Bobs line, SHE HAD HUNG UP ON ME!
 
I think that you get what you pay for when it comes to furniture.

After the experiences I had with Seaman's and Levitz years ago, I will never shop at a discount furniture chain again. Nowadays you have Bob's and Ashley's, and the way I see it, those stores are Seaman's and Levitz reincarnated.
 
I have a few rooms of furniture from Bob's and love them. They did drop off something broken and came back in a few days with one that wasn't broken. I have had to deal with their customer service as well and loved them. I signed for a dining room set. After they left; I noticed a scratch. I called customer service and they sent someone out when it was convenient for me to fix.

When I pick up furniture, I always take it out of the box to inspect it. It might be a pain at first but it can save a headache in the long run. Did they not offer night delivery? I get furniture delivered from them when I'm off work. Instead of being on hold with the 800 number; is there a store nearby you could go to. I find I get better customer service face to face.
