Bobby and His Unit are on their Way Back to the USA!!!!

As of 6:00 this morning (South Bend time), our Marines are on their way home!!! I don't know when they actually left Kuwait, but I received a phone call EARLY this morning from my dear friend (who's husband is the Major in charge of the unit) telling me that he had called her and that they were in Amsterdam for a refueling stop. They are on a chartered Northwest Airline flight and with all the time changes, etc. I'm figuring they'll be in California by this evening.

It is POSSIBLE that he could be home (here in South Bend) by next weekend, or mid-week of the following week. :Pinkbounc

This is the most joy and excitement I've felt in MONTHS!!!! :teeth:

Great news, Patty! Prayers for a safe return for him and his buddies. I just had an IM this morning from my friend in the Army. He's on "forced" vacation for the month of June or he loses 30 days' vacation! He's a work-a-holic and will have trouble with this, I'm sure. But they're selling their house and transferring so I'm crossing my fingers it sells quickly while he's off work. It's great to have him back!!
