I hate paying Disney prices for bottled water. Actually, I hate paying even normal prices for bottled water - we drink from the tap in our house (oh the horror!)

Anyway...I have several Bobble water-filter bottles I was going to bring to WDW this summer to use, mainly to try and remove the "icky" taste from the water. Has anyone tried these at Disney, and do they in fact improve the taste of the water??

I've used similar water bottles for hiking and camping; they successfully got the taste of the iodine sterilization tabs out of the water, so I think they should do nicely at Disney World. I'd certainly bring mine next trip.

We brought ours last time and it worked great!! No funny taste at all. Didn't buy a single drink our whole trip!

Yes, they do work. Took mine for the first time last month and it was perfect - no more buying bottled water, just taking advantage of free ice or tap water.

Yes it worked great for the taste.

My only complaint is that the plastic bottle is so weak that it kept getting smushed by other stuff in my bag.

We used Brita filtered bottles for years. We don't really mind the taste of the water at WDW though.

We've used them at WDW, and they work fine.

ETA:
If you are worried about them in a backpack, go to Walmart (or maybe Target). In the biking or camping section, they will have neoprene bottle holders--they look sort of like the old can holders. They have a loop and you can fit the medium Bobbles into them. Get them wet, and they help stay cool. I have mine on a carbeener (sp?) and can hang them from my belt loop or backpack.

Definitely get a carabiner holder so you can clip it onto your belt loop / purse strap / whatever.

Another great thing to bring is the store version of the Crystal Light packets. We did not take re-usable water bottles, but we did bring bottled water. We would take 2 full bottles into the park (for 4 people - we just shared our germs), and then refill them multiple times during the day, using a flavor packet to mask the Orlando water. We recycled the day's bottles at the end of the night.

Thanks for the feedback all :thumbsup2 They are now officially in the Disney pile! I'm not concerned about them getting crushed - my backpack has outside pockets to hold water bottles. We carried them that way last year in DL and didn't have a problem, but the water there tasted fine so I just wasn't sure they would improve the water taste in FL. But I'm glad to hear they do!! :cool1:
