This is a strange way to announce this type of transition. I am hoping that this is not due to health issues but a suddenly transfer rather than a long term plan seems out of place.

Chapek will still report to Iger. So there is some good news out of this I guess.

Iger announced he will remain as Executive Chairman of the Board and will oversee the "creative" aspects of the company. Sounds like he will stay on with Disney through at least the end of 2021.
