Okay, so here's my situation:
DH and I are staying at POR for one week in Sept. We have one ADR at Boatwrights our last night there. I wanted to try the restaurant since it is our resort restaurant, but I've been reading some pretty bad reviews about the place and am getting kind of nervous. I would also really like to try Whispering Canyon at WL and would love to see the resort as well. However, I've also read that it can be very time consuming to travel from resort to resort (we are not renting a car). So, my question is, if it was your last night, and you know you wanted to get to the MK later that night after dinner, would you take the time to venture from your resort to WL for dinner? Is it really that time consuming (and is it worth it?)? Or should we just bite the bullet and eat at our resort? Also let me know what you think of Boatwrights if you have eaten there. Thanks!

We stay at POR also and we did WCC for the first time in March for dinner. My opinion it was worth the traveling time to eat there. My family loved the food and the atmosphere. We took the MK bus to MK and then the boat over to WCC. On the way back we were heading to POR, so we took the DTD bus from WCC and then the POR bus from there. Make sure you go hungry if your buying the skillet. The desserts are soooo goood too. Now Boatwright I have never been to because of the reviews. The reviews state that breakfast is better then dinner. I'm the type of person to try something at least once, but it's not on the top of my list yet. Best of luck and have fun

We ate at Boatwrights in Nov and thought it was good but the service was very slow. I would eat there again, but, I think you will enjoy WCC and seeing the WL more. We've been there also and the food is very good. It's a fun restaurant and WL is a beautiful resort.

I don't think it would be that time consuming. Take the POR bus to MK and then take the boat over to WL, have dinner and take the boat back over to MK for your last night. It's probably about an extra 45 minutes of your time for the boat rides back and worth.

Have a great trip! :)

Boatwright's has a really great breakfast. I'd do that one day and then do WCC for you last night dinner. As the last poster said, just take the bus to MK, get on the boat to WL and then take the boat back to MK after dinner.

I actually have an ADR for breakfast one morning as well. I might just do that instead! Thanks for all the advice.
