We booked and ADR at Boatwrights for breakfast one morning, we're staying at POR, so I thought this would force us to have a lazy laid back morning, while we wait for my brother to arrive!

What do you get with DDP at a restaurant like this for breakfast???

ANything in particular we should try? :confused3

It's not the best use of a TS credit. With the DP for breakfast you don't get an appetizer or a dessert. Instead, you get Juice, Entree and Non-alcoholic Beverage. It might be better just to pay out of pocket and save your TS credit for later.

Huh! That's true. But I hate to pay OOP, we already have SO much scheduled...(we're going for a wedding, so there are atleast 2 meals there, too in addition to all we get for DDP).

Any suggestions on something close to POR that we could go to breakfast and come back to wait for my brother to arrive?

How bout Chef Mickey's at the CR or 'Ohana. I hear they are really good for breakfast.

I haven't tried Boatwrights myself but from what I've heard and read it's a great place for breakfast. We stayed at POR a year and a half ago and Boatwrights was always packed in the mornings so it must be good! We didn't eat there because we just don't eat much for breakfast so the food court worked for us.

True it may not be the best value on the dining plan but sometimes that just doesn't matter. If you are at POR anyway and looking for a relaxing morning I think Boatwrights is a great idea. I've heard great things about the sweet potato pancakes:woohoo:

Boatwright also has the banana stuffed french toast. I actually like it better than the Tonga Toast at Kona Cafe at PR. Also I second the vote for the sweet potato pancakes. Both are great choices.

I enjoy Boatwright's for breakfast. I like the blueberry pancakes.

I may not be the best use of a TS credit, but you'll probably still end way ahead in the long run.

I booked Crystal Palace. We've got a lot of kids with us. I figured we can have breakfast at Crystal Palace, hang at the MK, and then head back for some rest time before the Hoop Dee Doo revue that night!

Thanks for all your thoughts though! :)

Yummm...Boatrights Breakfeast. Yes, I said break-feast. Ate there last summer for our last day of vacation. I had a meal that came with eggs, bagon, and french toast that was literally the size of my fist (if not larger). It was awesome! It definately held me over all morning and through the plane ride home.

We LOVE Boatwrights' Breakfasts. We are staying there as well in June for 3 nights and have ADRs for 2 out of the 3 mornings. I absolutely love the French toast, haven't tried the stuffed ones, will have to this time around. Can't wait.:goodvibes
