I have heard so many negative comments on this restaurant.
I am staying there and I decided we should at least try it since we are there.

Please tell me your latest experiences there. I go in 11 days, so any help will be appreciated. pixiedust:

Also, what did you eat while you were there. Please rate it for us, so we can make decisions on what would be good to eat.

:thanks:

Had a fabulous dinner at Boatwrights in January for my birthday we spent the weekend at POR and this was for sure a highlight!! I got the crawfish bites for the appetizer - HEAVEN! Then I got the Jambalaya for my entree it was really good but what I loved what my husband's entree he got the grilled pork chop!

We went two years ago and didn't think it was worth the money. Our food court food was a better value and overall better. We also found the menu limited.

If the menu sounds yummy and the location is close for you, try it out.

enjoy!

We have stayed at POR 3 times over the past 3 or so years, and each time we have eaten at Boatwrights. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there, b/c there are better options in WDW...but with that said, our favorite dish there is the Prime Rib with cheesy potatoes! The wait staff has always been nothing but polite, helpful and efficient. We also really enjoyed the ceasar salad, and the apple-pie ish dessert (can't remember the actual name of the dessert...but it was apple pie a la mode if i recall!). Since you are staying at POR, i would go ahead and enjoy your meal!!

We ate there last summer. I can't remember what everyone ordered EXCEPT for the Bananas Fosters Angel Food Cake. It was heavenly! I could go on and on about it, but I might drool on the keyboard...

BTW, make sure you try a magic cookie bar at the food court too!

You can read a full review of our visit in May in our most recent dining review (link in my signature). We had a nice meal there.

We always had a good hearty meal there and usually plan an evening at POR to eat there and then see Bob Jackson. :)

My family and I have ate at Boatwright's three times. I agree with a previous poster. There are better TS options but if you are staying at POR, go ahead and try Boatwright's.

We have always been on the dining plan so I have always had the filet with the cheesy potatoes. I'm not sure if the filet is still on the menu but my meals were always fantastic. I know my family always at their as well.

It can get noisy in Boatwright's. But then again, most TS options at WDW are noisy.

I dont know why this place gets a bad wrap. I have eaten here 3 times, twice for dinner and once for breakfast(a few years ago) and had very good meals all 3 times. I do remember having a pot roast there that was great. I also remember they had stuffed french toast(Tonga Toast) for breakfast, always a fav!!

My family and i ate there in Dec of '09. What was on the menu was very limited as to the usual kind of food we eat however some of us asked for a certain meal but without the _ or with this instead of that. Could you tell me what this is and can you make it this way instead of that way. And they were VERY accomodating. My DH even tried food he normally would never eat and really enjoyed it. I thought what i ate..cant remember at the moment...was really good..spicy, cajun somethin.
For dessert I wanted something..again cant remember exactly what at the moment, but was worried about nut allergys so i asked the waiter about nuts in the food. He went back to check with the chef and the chef actually came out to the table and discussed what they had for dessert that i could and could not eat. The chef was SO SUPER nice and talkative with my family. I wish i could remember his name to give him credit!
The best for me was we were celebrating my b-day and the waiter brought out my b-day cupcake, but then the chef came out Again and brought an extra b-day dessert surprise for all 6 of us at my table. Of course we felt guilty cuz we were already full from the large meal and regular dessert we ate, and couldnt finish the extra dessert. But that little bit of extra done..by the chef..which isn't what you normally get at any restaurant...made me def. plan on going back.

We stayed at POR in April 2008 and I was "concerned" about the negative reviews but honestly we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner there. I had an awesome jambalaya, my husband had the prime rib and my older son had the chicken breast. My younger son (kids meal) had a macaroni with beef and tomato and a build it yourself sundae. We all loved our meals! One thing that I really loved was the homemade cornbread that came out before our meal - it had actual corn niblets in it...yummers!! :thumbsup2

The kids liked the cool ship decorations and our server was lovely. Absolutely no complaints about our food or our dining experience at Boatwright's. Enjoy! :goodvibes

I've always loved it!!! I had the BEST pot roast there and still crave it from time to time!! I wanted it every night of our trip it was so good!! :lmao:

We ate there last November and will do it again this November. We loved the cornbread and the Prime Rib was very good. We stay at POFQ so it is very convenient. I wouldn't go to a lot of trouble to get there if I was staying somewhere else - it's good, but there are other places if you have to get in a car and drive somewhere.

We ate there during our last trip. It was really good! I had the chicken and potatoes and they were delicious! I definietly recommend Boatwrights.
