Any info would be good. we are thinking of staying at POR and the restaurant looks cool in the pics. Plus we are staying 7 nights butonly 4 days in parks, so trying to incorporate meals at resorts.

Plus DH is celiac so if you have any info on Boatwrights for him that'd be great.

We stayed at POR last nov and we loved boatwrights. We even ate thanksgiving dinner there is was fantastic.

We ate at Boatwright's for the last meal of our trip two years ago and it was awful--from the minute we checked in and waited 45 minutes for our table; our waitress was awful...I think she said at the most 10 words all night to us. The food was awful (I had a steak which was 75% fat); the servings very small. And it was so loud that DH and I couldn't even talk to each other across the table because you couldn't hear anything between the food court and the piano guy playing.

We ate there last summer (party of 10) We all enjoyed our meal. No complaints. Also, stayed at POR, we liked this resort and would stay here again.

I'm bummed that the have (or will soon) stopped serving breakfast. I loved walking over there from French Quarter for a nice omlette. Looks like I'll be FORCED :lmao:to just have beginets at the food court!

.

Yes. No sit down breakfast available at a resort as large as Port Orleans.
Dosen't make a lot of sense.
Dinner wise the Pot Roast is pretty good.

We've been there twice and both times enjoyed it very much. The meals are plentiful and very very tasty. Obviously, if you go later in the evening (after 8 or 9) you're going to hear the piano player next door because that's when he plays! :rotfl:
We made a special trip to go back to Boatwrights for our second time and it was worth it. Delicious meal and good service.
As for the wait times, ADR's are not a guarantee of your time. It just assures you'll get a seat at some point. Wait staff can't force people to eat quicker or not linger over coffee.
We never waited more than 10 minutes or so. Plus, we're on vacation! No schedules!!

We were there at 5:30 and he was already playing.

We thought the food and atmosphere were great! I don't remember what anyone else had but I enjoyed the blackened red snapper with stewed green tomatoes and a slice of pecan pie.

We both had the filet mignon and it was great and much posher of a meal than I expected. Our waiter was excellent and great with our kids, and it was relatively spacious and quiet by Disney standards (admittedly not saying much!). I would recommend it for sure.
