Boats to POR

Hi, Staying at Hotel Royal Plaza, and wondering how far of a walk it would be to go to the boat that takes you to Port Orleans Riverside (want to visit some guest there). Do you have to show anything (room key, ID) to ride the boats?

I understand the boats run from PO to downtown Disney from 4-11 pm, could I take a boat from DD to PO lets say at 4:30 pm?

One final question, is Hotel Royal Plaza considered a “Disney” hotel?

Hi... We have taken the boat ride many times and never been asked for identification of any kind. However I do believe if you have ticket to the parks (anything other than a One Day pass) all Disney transportation is included - boats too! Hotel Plaza is not an official Disney property but it may have some perks - what I do not know. Someone will though!

The boats leave from a dock next to the Rainforest Cafe, about every 20 min. Another ferrys you from Eastside to Westside. Anyone can use the boats. Check out maps on the DIS and DisneyWorld websites, and call Disney Transportation for more info. Have a magical day.
