Boats to MK

Okay, here's another transportation question. We'd like to try to get to MK for the opening ceremony on a non-EMH morning which means we'll need to be at the park gates by around 8:30-40 to be relaxed. The direct MK boat leaves the fort 30 minutes or 1 hour prior to park opening? I know the blue launch boats start around 6:45 each day. So are we better off taking the blue boat to CR and walking to MK to be sure to arrive in time for the ceremony or would we be safe with the regular MK launch?

p.s. I'm sure I'm going to think of more...I'd rather get transportation info. from all of you folks who are super familiar with FW than elsewhere on this board!

We always use the mk boat launch. Just leave your site an hour prior to rope drop and you should have plenty of time.
