Boats at EPCOT?

I noticed on the EPCOT map that there seems to be two boat launches that go across to the opposite side of World Showcase. Are those boats for guests to take instead of having to walk to the other side?

The boats do go across to the other side but they don't run frequently enough to be an good alternative to walking. They are air conditioned but waiting in the heat can be a negative. It does help cut down on the mileage you put on your sore feet.

If you are going to take the boats I always take to one at the right of the giftshops. This drops you at Morocco and then Germany. If you go to the one to the left, the boat goes to the right gift shop next.

It depends on the time of day, busy season, and ???

If there are two boats running, the right boat ONLY goes between that gift shop and Morocco. The left boat ONLY goes between the left gift shop and Germany.

If there is only one boat running, it will circle the lagoon hitting Morocco, Germany and one of the gift shops, but not both.
