Just looking ahead at helping DD with her ADR's. The Boatouse at Disney Springs is in the signature restaurant column in the Dining plan info on here, thus meaning a double credit but when you click on the menu details it doesn't say signature credit required, just a table service credit - so is it a double crdit or not ?? - the menu doesnt look overly expensive.

It's a signature and I believe you have to pay OOP for sides on the dining plan if none are listed on the menu with the dish you choose.

When I visited it wasn't on the ddp,
It is a signature restaurant
And our meal was amazing!
Food was excellent and service too,
However reviews have been serverly hit and miss since joining the plan, dh and I very much enjoy good food, and this place was hard to beat at the time,.
Yes you pay for your sides, but it's the same as this in all signature restaurant's at Disney.
You get the main meal with a accompanying food, and the sides are separate.
It is 2 credits per person.

We have it booked for August. Not read the small print, but check if it changes to 2 credits for evening time.(similar to Le Cellier in Epcot) I know that Morimoto Asia, also in Disney Springs, is operating that system. :)

Actually there are some dishes at the Boathouse with no sides at all listed. If you order one of these on the DDP you will need to pay OOP for a side. All dishes at Disney signature restaurants come with something other than your steak.

I have rechecked the DDP leaflet for 2016 and while it is signature dining it doesn't have the 2 credit symbol- may need to call and ask to be sure before planning on one credit though.

Also Le Cellier is 2 credits all day and has been for a while - that experiment only last a year or maybe two at most.

I was there in August and it was definitely 2 credits each - I would say that it's a lovely place to eat, but that the food and service don't match up to other signature restaurants in my opinion. As others have said, many meals need additional sides as they come with nothing at all other than steak/fish etc. If you do order sides as well, they are huge and can easily be shared!

We certainly didn't have a bad time there but I don't feel we got as good value as at any other signature. For a signature meal at Disney Springs, i'd recommend Fulton's over the Boathouse every time - our meal there in August was fantastic and made truly special by our server, Robert, who gave us the best service of our entire trip.

We went on the Deluxe Dining Plan in October and had a great meal. We were even able to order the $100 caviar appetizer! Our total meal cost for two was something like $340 (excluding tip and drinks) and a lovely $0 on the dining plan!

(and I should add, we went on a whim at lunch without an ADR!)

My sister in law said great things about it in December. We have ADR's for March.

It is definitely two credits. The sides are eye wateringly expensive for what they are. I don't mind paying for a good meal but, based on reading lots of reviews and looking at the menu prices I am minded to think this place is a lot of spin. $9 for fries or steamed brocolli? On principal ha ha ha. No thanks.
