Can someone tell me how the boat transportation works in Epcot? I have never used the boat to get from Future World to the World Showcase, but I may need to before the Candlelight Processional in a couple of weeks. How often do they run? Where are the stops?

http://allears.net/tp/ep/epcotmap.jpg here is a map. Beginning at 11:00am, the Friendship boats begin running. There are two runs, both originating from launches found at World Showcase Plaza. One goes to Morocco, the other to Germany. The last boat from the World Showcase leaves at 7:15pm. The last boat from the countries leaves at 7:30pm.

There are other threads asking the same thing. Look for them, they have a lot of answers and even maps and air photos to help.

Basically, the boats are an attraction, they do not really make travel faster. From WS, there are 2 boat docks on the sides of the twin gift shops. The Canada side dock goes to Morocco, the Mexico side dock goes to Germany when the park is busy and two boats and both docks are used. On slower days, one WS dock is closed and the boat makes a triangle shaped trip to the 3 other docks, usually counterclockwise.

Yes, I have this map. I just couldn't find anything on it with information on the schedule or travel patterns of the boats. Thank you for the info!

I did look for them, and when the Search function produced nothing, I asked the question. Even so, thank you for the information about the travel time. I am looking for a quick way to get from Future World to the America Gardens Theatre for the CP. I guess walking quickly will be the way to go.

I am not sure that Search is working properly right now. They are preparing to switch to new servers.

If you arrive at the boat dock when they are about to load and can get on that boat, it will probably be faster. If you have to wait, it will be faster to walk.

Thanks! That is a great idea.

As a side note, whether you are walking or taking the boat to the CP, there is a separate line for people with the dining package and the standby line. Last year the package line was on the Japan/Morocco side and the standby line was on the Italy/Germany side. You'll save time if you choose the appropriate walking side or boat dock.
