Boat to MGM from Epcot????

Is there a boat from Epcot to MGM?? Our DS's are not the most well behaved on the buses and we are looking to avoid them. I know we have to take one to AK, but I thought I heard you could get one from Epcot to MGM. Thanks.

Yes there is the whole ride is relaxing and takes about 20 min. You need to go to the international gateway in World Showcase to get the boat.

The other choice is to walk. You can walk along the waterway from MGM, past the Swan and Dolphin, through the Beach Club area and over the bridge to Epcot's International Gateway entrance. Either the boat or walking would take about twenty to twenty-five minutes.

If your DS's are not the most well behaved on buses, avoid the boats as well.

There is no problem with them on the boats or Monorails, just the buses and they might be fine on them this year just going on last years exp.

It is a long ride... and then you are dropped off at the BACK of epcot. just fyi.

We took the boat ride from MGM to Epcot this past week, for the first time. It does take some time and makes about 3 stops within the boarwalk area before you get to MGM.

The "back" of Epcot here means the back entrance which is the International Gateway entrance. You actually enter or exit Epcot in World Showcase, between France and the UK.

The boats themselves are fairly large--seating maybe 100 people or so. It is a leisurely trip;

It is generally faster to walk. It's not a long trip, about the same as walking one lap around World Showcase (approx. 1 mile - 1.2 miles).
