Boat rentals, recreation? CR/Poly or WL

For our first morning at WDW in July, we're having a late breakfast at 10:20am at Chef Mickey's and then dinner at WCC....we're going to spend the afternoon enjoying some of the recreation activities at WDW...(motor boat rentals for kids to 'drive', parasailing?)

- would you recommend that we hang around CR/Poly area for recreation? If so, please provide info on what's available. then we'll head over to WL for dinner
- Or should we just head over to WL after breakfast (around noon) and enjoy the recreational activities at WL before dinner? If so, what is there available at/around WL?
