How often does the boat run? If I have a carriage ride at POR at 7, it would be done around 7:25, and then dinner at DTD (Paradiso) at 8:15, is that enough time?

I still say keep your original plan, but you are looking at a 30 min wait between boats

I think you're cutting it too close. You're looking at a 15-20 minute boat ride. Your boat will have to stop and pick up people at POFQ. Once you get there, it's a good ten minute walk to get to your restaurant.

Sometimes there are lots of people waiting for a boat and you have to wait for the next one.

I too think you are cutting it close, BUT I would give it a whirl. If all else fails and you can't catch the first boat after the carriage ride, you could hop a taxi for dinner.

Or grab the bus if you go out front to get a taxi and one is coming.

If I make reservations on OpenTable for Paradiso (plenty on there, not many on disney web site), will they still accept the DDP?

Yes. How you make the reservation is not correlated with DDP at all.

Boats run more frequently at night, about every 10-15 minutes. Closer to 10 minutes in our experience. But it IS a good 20-25 min ride down the river, and that doesn't include stopping at POFQ to pick up more people. I also think it's cutting it too close.

You may be right on this. I actually haven't timed between boats, I just went on a total wait/ride time and kind of split the math from the total time we last rode the boats.

It would probably be closer to 20-30 minutes between boats during the day, but they do run them more frequently at night :thumbsup2

Perfect! Thanks all. I will cancel my disney reservation, and book right through OpenTable, and make it probably 30 minutes later. So carriage ride 7-7:25, at POR, and then dinner at Paradiso at 8:45. Then hopefully if we do arrive earlier, we can get taken a bit early.

Thanks!
