I see a boat goes from MK to Fort Wilderness, then FW to Contemporary. Do we just stay on the boat, or do we have to transfer to a new boat?

There is no boat that goes from the Magic Kingdom to the Contemporary. There are boats from the Contemporary that go to the Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. What you would do is get on the boat at Fort Wilderness and then it will go the Wilderness Lodge and then the Magic Kingdom

The easiest way to get from MK to CR is via the monorail. The Contemp is also the only resort you can walk to from the MK. Either way is short and easy.

There is no boat from MK to CR (it wouldn't make a lot of sense as they are so close). If it's a nice day and you feel like relaxing on some boats, you could take a boat from the MK to either FW or Wilderness Lodge, then take a boat from there to the CR.

That's exactly what I wanted to do...have a nice relaxing trip over...something different. :)

Thank you guys for the information. I really appreciate it!

Each lake has the smaller boats that run a circle around that lake.

The smaller blue flagged boat runs a circle from Contemporary to Wilderness Lodge to Fort Wilderness. When busy enough, two boats will run, one clockwise and one counter-clockwise.

A yellow flagged smaller boat does the same thing among the Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and Magic Kingdom. Again, when there is enough demand two boats will run, in opposite circles.

There used to be separate boats that ran from the Magic Kingdom to each of Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness. But when we were there in January they had combined the route which made it long and crowded. I hope that was a January thing and they each have their own boat in the Summer.

Two blue flagged boats run clockwise from 6:45 am until 3:00 pm, then run counter-clockwise from 3:00 pm until 11:30 pm.

Two gold flagged boats run counter-clockwise from opening until close.

Three green flagged boats run the combined Fort/Lodge route all year. There have not been separate routes to Fort and Lodge for about 6 years.
