never been there..we have 2 over 5o-somethings,ourselves, and 2 toddlers..should we bother?

Greetings fellow Joiseyian:)

We like to hang out at the Boardwalk when we're looking to take it down a notch for the night, and find it very enjoyable & relaxing. Staying at the Dolphin makes it an easy option for us, too.
DW, myself and our two sons (6 & 13) get a kick out of the street performers.
I could be wrong, but I recall that there are usually 3 different performers that rotate throughout the night, from juggling to magic acts, ect.

Definitely worth a couple of hours, imho.

I don't know if I would go out of my way to stop there. If you are eating at one of the fine restaurants, or even just getting a slice of pizza or something from the bakery/ice cream shop, it's worth hanging out for a bit. Definitely plan some time if you are going to stop by one of the Epcot area resorts or going from Epcot to MGM. If you are so inclined, you can rent one of the surrey bikes. Keep in mind that the street entertainers and carnival games aren't open every day of the week. They are definitely open on the weekend, but I know in the past they closed down at least a couple of days during the week.

Its nice at night there.

We often go to the Boardwalk on our last night. Sometimes there's a DJ and the kids sing & dance on the lawn; the street entertainers are always fun; it's a great place to get away from the hustle & bustle of the parks; the lights from the Y/BC are beautiful and DH gets his sports fix at ESPN :cheer2:

I love to spend sometime at the Boardwalk at night. We enjoyed the performers, a surry bike and seeing Illuminations from the walkway bridge.

One night we had 2 performers start talking to us and they sang 'you got a friend in me' from Toy Story to us. There was no one else around and it was a very magical moment!

I LOVE the boardwalk!!! It's such a great place to spend a little time enjoying your vacation at a relaxing pace - and it's great for all ages. You'll enjoy it if you decide to go. Have fun!

No matter what...we always spend time at the BW! ESPN, games, acts, food, the bakery, Spoodles pizza, fun, and more fun! We love strolling the BW at night!:thumbsup2

I'm glad to see the great reviews. We're staying at Boardwalk Villas for the first time in August and are planning an evening to be spent on the Boardwalk with dinner sometime at ESPN the night the Red Sox and Yankees play - I forget which night, DD and DH are in charge of that.

Hey, we'll be staying at BWV in August too. August 11-17th. When will you be there?

Go Sox!

Rent a surrey bike and see if you can peddle all the way around the lake (past YC &BC) :lmao:. Watch other families try to do it, that alone is worth spending an evening at Broadwalk.
