Boardwalk Villas

Has anyone ever gotten a discount for Boardwalk Villas in early December?

Speaking from my own experience, we have never paid anything but rack rate at the Boardwalk Villas and we always go in early December. I have seen posts indicating that other folks have been able to get a discount so maybe some of them will respond. Keep in mind that BWV is a Vacation Club resort and there are very few rooms available for cash customers and lots of folks really like to stay there.

Last December first week they had a pretty steep discount available at the last minute through Travelocity (and probably also through CRO). I wouldn't count on it again, I think it was a result of alot of cancellations after 9/11.

I was staying on DVC points and just for the fun of it checked availability on travelocity about a week before we went. If it would have been sooner, I would have cancelled my Saturday night on points and paid cash, but DVC has rules about cancellations less than 30 days (holding account...). Saturday nights are high points through DVC.

BWV in early December is very busy. It is even tough to get member reservation there at 11 months out for those first two weeks. You may have more luck with Beach Club Villas since they are not sold out to DVC members.
