Hi! My family, including a toddler, will be staying at in a standard view 1 bedroom villa at the Boardwalk in May 2025. We will be using a stroller throughout the trip. Can anyone speak to their experience staying on the first or second floor of the building? We are looking at potentially requesting those floors.

How was the noise level at night? Any tips for staying in the resort with a stroller?

Have been there 2 times with kids and stroller - no issues with noise ever. It is a very expansive resort so it all depends on your room location. One time we were right around the corner from the elevator and easy access to outside. The most recent time we were very FAR away from the lobby and any elevators, but were were on the ground floor with an exit door leading to the walkway near Hollywood Studios. Looked out on the quiet pool.

We love the resorts in this location as Epcot is our favorite park. Walk to Epcot unless the weather is too intense and then we use the boats.

The main negative is the length of hallways. It took us quite a while to get to the end of the hallway where our room was (last trip). I believe we had room 1132 - if you look that up it will show you the view to the pool and also where it is on the map.

Have only stayed at BWV once, but we had a ground floor 1 bedroom and loved it. Especially with a couple of ECVs.

There will be noise if you are part of a lock off. We were in a 1 bedroom that was part of a lock off and we heard a lot of noise from the studio side. I put one of our white noise machines on the dresser right next to the door and that helped. Of course, it does depend on how noisy your neighbors are. There are some dedicated 1 bedrooms and those are much less noisy. I requested one of those, but I've never gotten anything close to my request at BWV.

So there are ALWAYS stairs or the elevator at BWV. This is because the lobby is actually on the second floor (with access to the bus stop and parking lots) and the pool and walkway to Epcot/Boat dock is on the first floor.

As to noise, BWV is a busy resort. It isn't crickets, the shape of the building bounces noise up from the pool view rooms, and the standard views overlook the drive, so you get the noise of people arriving. But standard view is likely to be quieter than something overlooking the pool or the BW. It gets a lot of wedding traffic. Boardwalk rooms are a little like living in the city - if you live in a city, you won't notice the noise. If you are surrounded by farmland, its a really noisy place.

BWV only has one bank of elevators and they are close to the lobby. This can be frustrating if you've got a stroller, ECV or wheelchair. The hallways are L-O-N-G but the further you are away from the elevators, the quieter the hallways will be. Lobby level is one floor up from the Boardwalk and pool level. Ground floor is pool level and one level below the lobby and the walkway to the bus stop.

Other noises come from your neighbor in the connecting studio. You probably won't hear them when you're in the bedroom but will if you're in the livingroom. Putting towels or a rolled up blanket between the connecting doors can help to muffle the noise.

If you're in a Boardwalk view there will be noise from activity there. There's not much you can do about that. Garden/pool views can be quieter. Standard views that are close to the elevators can hear noise from driveway (buses dropping people off, luggage being moved about, etc).

We have stayed there a number of times but never with little ones. Our upcoming trip will be the first time. We're in a 2BR Boardwalk view. I admit that I'm not looking forward to the stroller/elevators issues or the noise from foot traffic on the Boardwalk.

Try requesting mid hallway. This gets you not too far from elevators/lobby and yet not too close to the end of the long hallways. I would suggest also putting ground floor as your first priority so if you are far from elevators, at least you can get in and out of the building with their ground floor exits.

Enjoy the BWV! My fav!

The farther you are from the elevator, the less noisy will get. That being said, you will also be farther away from the elevator.

With respect to view, if you are pool/garden, I would ask for the quiet pool view, garden green, or Swan and dolphin view.

If Boardwalk view, the farther are from Epcot/boat launch, the quieter it will be. They just might be a little bit of a walk.

For standard view, I would just ask to be away from the elevator elevators, maybe mid hallway.

Love boardwalk wish I was there right now. Hope you love it too.

Per advice I received from folks on these boards, we requested a dedicated 1BR (standard view) on the first floor on the south or southeast-facing side (i.e rooms #1117, 1119, 1121, or 1127) for our recent trip. We were assigned to room 1127 and found it to be extremely quiet: There was no studio attached, we were almost the last room on the hallway, and we had a nice, quiet view of the canal off the patio. More importantly, we had elevator-free access to everything because there are exterior doors near the end of the hallway that lead to the walking path to the pool/Hollywood Studios/Boardwalk, and on the opposite side of the building a quick path to the front entrance/lobby/bus stop. Absolutely loved this room and would request again! It is a good walk down the hallway but we didn't mind this at all.

Here is a link to the room we were assigned on Touring Plans: https://touringplans.com/hotel_maps/disneys-boardwalk-villas?room=1117&rooms=true

And a link to show you the 1BRs down at the end of that hallway that I requested: https://touringplans.com/hotel_maps...12&filters[connect]=&rooms=true&commit_str=''

Only ever stayed at a garden or standard room at BWI. No excessive noise whether lock off or not for my sensibilities. Keep in mind I live in an urban environment So may hear sounds differently.
You will be back and forth on the elevator as the lobby is on the 2nd floor.
Can’t think of any problems you might have with a stroller.

Have fun.
