I just posted a thread about our week at the BWV, 10/21 - 10/28. We were in a 1 bedroom, but loved the area. We have stayed at the BCV in the past and we were skeptical about moving to the Boardwalk. We liked it very much.
Our room was spacious, clean and quiet. We had a great view overlooking the quiet pool and the canal beyond. We could see ToT from our balcony.
It was definitly a do-able, but longer than from the BCV, walk to Epcot and a shorter walk to MGM. We walked to both.
Our bus service was fine. We never waited longer than 20 minutes, usually less. The trip to DTD was long with a large group of inebriated conventioneers picked up at the Swan. The return trip was not bad.
I would go back to the Boardwalk anytime.
