We're planning a trip to WDW in May, and are thinking of staying in a 1 BR at BWV. I understand, though, that a major pipe rehab will be underway, and that there may be some noise during the day (M-F). We will have 5 kids (3 of them under 3), and may need to have some nap time during the day. Anybody have an idea of how much disruption the pipe rehab is likely to cause???

The pipe rehab might be done by then. In any case, posters on this board have not reported any significant noise or problems with the rehab work.

The hall outside our room was affected when we were there earlier this month. It was a slight inconvenience to try to get a stroller around the workers and equipment, although they were very accommodating. We did not notice significant noise. It did look tacky with plastic that looked like torn-up plastic bags covering the hallway carpet. If there is still pipe work going on, you could ask to NOT be in that area because of nap time. It wouldn't hurt to mention this when you make your ressie.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. If it were a big problem you would read a lot about it on these boards. We have heard almost nothing about it. I'll find out for myself in a few weeks.

I totally agree with Happy Birthday Cat. If there is one thing I have learned from being on these boards over the past couple of years is that even the smallest problem is NEVER over looked and is reported somewhere on the DIS... since there has been very little said about this, I wouldn't worry about it.
