Hello,

Does anyone have a map or information on where the various views are for BWV?

There seem to be 3 views for a Studio, Boardwalk view, preferred view (these 2 use the same amount of points) and a standard view which are less points.

I think I know that the Boardwalk view has a view of the Boardwalk, but what views are seen from the Standard?

Thanks, you folks have all the info. :goodvibes

I know that the Boardwalk view has a view of the Boardwalk, but what views are seen from the Standard?

The standard room that we had over New Year's was located at the end of the hallway. You could see the pond near the front entrance, the parking lot through the trees, the Tower of Terror and the tennis courts.

Our room at Thanksgiving overlooked the front entrance driveway but you could also see the EPCOT fireworks since we were on an upper floor.

We love the standard view rooms. They are well worth getting for the point savings but really don't have that bad of a view either.

We have our first trip "home" in March and have booked a 2 bedroom preferred view. Is there any way to request to be in a spot where we can see the EPCOT fireworks (Illuminations) from our room, or is which room you get just a matter of chance? Thanks so much!

Sounds like you have a PV - Pool/Garden unit. If so, there are no locations that have a view of IllumiNations from your room. You'd need to have a guaranteed Boardwalk view room reserved for that. Your confirmation letter will say Boardwalk view if that is what you have.

The Pool/garden units cost the same number of points as the Boardwalk view units, but they are separate booking categories. You can call MS and see if any BW view units are left for your dates. If not, you can waitlist for one if you like. All of the BW view units have a view of the fireworks from the balcony / patio.

The good news is that you can see the fireworks from the Boardwalk itself if you don't want to walk into EPCOT (where the very best views can be found).

In general, you may add requests to your reservation by calling MS. Most members list their smoking preference first. Would you like to be close to the elevators, overlook one of the pools or the croquet lawn? On an upper floor or ground floor? Those are a few of the more common requests.

Requests are not guaranteed. BWV is almost always at or near capacity and in my experience, they preassign rooms there (so not much choice, if any, at check in). That's why if something is important to you, you need to call MS and have it added to your reservation - the room assigners look at the reservations to meet requests (when they can).
