Can someone please tell me the difference in a Boardwalk View & a Preferred view at Boardwalk villas? Thanks so much.

~Alison

The Boardwalk view rooms overlook the Boardwalk and Crescent Lake. Those rooms have a view of the higher level fireworks from EPCOT from the balcony. Some may be able to see the WIshes fireworks in the ditance.

The other Prefrerred View rooms (called Pool/Garden view) will have views of one of the pools, the canal, the Swan/Dolphin Resorts and/or the Croquet Lawn.

Boardwalk View rooms are a separte booking category (you know when you book if you have one) but cost the same points as the Pool/Garden rooms.

At BWV there are two reservation types - Standard and Preferred.

The Preferred views are divided into Boardwalk View and Water/Garden/Courtyard view. Both of these options require the same number of points - Standard View requires fewer points and usually will have a driveway/parking area view (although some of these villas will also have an Illuminations view too).

All of the GVs at BWV are Boardwalk View. The Courtyard view villas will also have a view of the Boardwalk. The Water/Garden view villas will look out at the canal, pool or walkway areas on the Swan-side of the building.

The Standard view and Boardwalk views are guaranteed booking categories - meaning you will know at the time the reservation is made that you will have that view type/location. Water view, Courtyard view and Garden view are requests, but won't be "guaranteed" at the time the reservation is made.

Enjoy! :)
