Boardwalk view confusion!

I want to double check something from everyone who knows the ins and outs of dvc!

If I booked a boardwalk view, is that different than a prefered view? That means I am overlooking the boardwalk right? And unless some kind of unexpected drama occurs (leaks or stuff like that) and they have to put me somewhere else, I should be guaranteed a boardwalk room?

I was understanding it as :
Standard View (could be anything, parking lot, etc)
Preferred View (pool, gardens stuff like that)
Boardwalk View (the rooms on the front looking down on the boardwalk)

Am I understanding it correctly?

Boardwalk View is a guaranteed booking category, so is Standard View and Preferred View. The category should be noted on your confirmation and on the member website.
