This is the most disorganzed I have ever been getting ready for a trip. Part of our trip we will be spending at Boardwalk (it will be our first time there). It will be over the fourth of july, and one of my favorite things to do is sit on the balcony at the end of the night and look at the parks. I was wondering what is the best request to get a good view (I am thinking of hollywood). If that isn't possible, what should I request? I like to feel like I'm at disney even in the room. Also I paid for a garden/pool view, since we had to waitlist and those had the most rooms. I have noticed that the garden views will be closed while we are there. Does this mean that I will automatically get a pool view? If that is the case, then I am thinking "high floor" and "elevator"? Otherwise I was thinking "high floor" and "pool view"?
Thanks.

I don't think that you can see any park from the garden/pool view rooms. Why are the garden view rooms closed, are they still doing the refurb?

Some of the rooms around the quiet pool have a view of the Tower of Terror. I don't know but they may have a view of the Star Wars fireworks as well. The only problem is I don't know how to request that since there are other rooms around the quiet pool that look in the other direction (the rooms are "U" shaped around the quiet pool).

If room view is that important to you I would waitlist a Boardwalk View room. It's the same amount of points and will have a view of Crescent Lake, the Boardwalk, and Illuminations higher fireworks.

Where did you see garden views are closed? I believe all the rooms are done now. The garden views would be Village Green, which is the lawn between the Inn and the villas on the boardwalk side or the lawn at the far end facing the Swan.

Go for Village Green, most of them are studios and you might get something from Epcot.
