I think mine was a studio. Probably the other side of the 2BR that connected to your 1BR.

That would explain why I never noticed lacking counter space!

As far as water from roll in shower getting on floor. Years ago, before my knee surgery, walking was difficult, especially on wet surfaces, and IF I was given a HA unit with that sort of shower (I did not need or request HA) I immediately would go back to front desk and explain my problems with wet floors and asked for more towels to put down on the floor. I never was denied them.

My aunt needed a roll in shower during our recent SSR stay, and the roll in shower in that 2 bedroom worked just as it should! Yeah, no water out of the shower at all! What an absolutely WONDERFUL stay for all of us.
