For those who follow these things, 270 points at Boardwalk with June use year just sold on e-bay. All 2005 points were available and 270 banked points from 2004. It went for $22,645 (approximately $84 dollars a point). The buyer pays all closing costs, but seller had paid all maintenance fees through 2005. There were a total of 19 bids. Looks like the resale market is still good for Boardwalk.

Well, they won't have any trouble getting thru ROFR! ;) Actually, BW is VERY busy, so I am not surprised. I am renting some left-over points right now, and had 16 people contact me so far about BW in October. EVERYONE wants BW! Needless to say, they are booked in October, but I am glad to know my BW contracts are worth that much money--no left-over points, though.

Yep, me too...glad that BWV is holding it's prices since I just bought in April!
The contract on ebay is actually pretty good...if you subtract the $4.51 in MF from the per point price, it is $79.50 plus closing fees...not bad considering the amount of banked points. I was net $76.50 per point plus closing fees(my seller paid 2005 MF too)and I felt I had gotten a good deal, because I too had 2004 points.

I think it is pretty amazing that on Ebay, where you can buy most timeshare resales for $1000...that this sold for so much. We all know that DIsney holds its resale value unlike most timeshares....but I'm just surprised Ebayers do.
Since the seller doesn't have to pay 10-12% to a broker (and I think Ebay fees are less than 2%....he made out well too.

I love my BWV!!!!

We are assuming the deal will go through. Remember that eBay is the honor system so you could bid 1000 a point and then back out.

the buyer also was required to pay $805 in closing costs
to include disney transfer free and ROFR FEE to orange county,fl

interesting, in how big huge BOARDWALK contracts, do just fine, without realtor/12% commission
