I am going in November and staying with my Grandchildren at Boardwalk in a 2 bedroom standard view and need some advice. I am looking for a location to ask for that will not be a very long walk for two little ones. We have never stayed there but understand some rooms can be very far out. I know I may not get what I want but would like to have something in mind.
Thanks alot

Yes, just request to be near the elevators.

The only problem with the rooms close to the elevators in the standard view section is they are close to the valet parking/magical express bus area and can be noisy. I personally ask for across from the bus stop (park busses), top floor. More quiet and a nice fireworks view. I personally think the distance is exaggerated, it's nothing compared to the distance walked at the parks.

I agree with Debbie on this.

We had a great Illuminations view from our standard room, and the room was very close to the stairwell which lets you out at the quiet pool. We used the stairs to get out to the path to DHS, and walked the halls to the elevator to head toward Epcot.

And if you're taking your grandchildren to the MK (or AK, or TL, or BB, or DTD, or basically anywhere which requires taking a bus) or if you are planning on visiting the quiet pool or Community Hall, then you'll have a longer walk if you request a room near the elevator.

Keep in mind that the rooms that are closest to the bus stop are furthest away from the elevators. If you or anyone in your party has difficulty with stairs, definately request a room close to the elevators.
