Boardwalk pool of poly pool ?

Might wanna give alittle more info. Where are you staying (is this between poly and bw)?. What time of year? What type of pool activity's do you enjoy more.?

Disclaimer I haven't stayed at either but I would chose poly. We looked closely at the pool options and chose to stay at the Poly this summer because of the pool and monorail. There are lots of you tube videos. Hopefully you will find them as helpful as we did! Have a great trip!

BWI. I love the set-up of the pool there. It's never terribly crowded so we always find chairs and the bar is REALLY cool! It also has more shade. The Poly pool can get brutally hot, IMHO.

Boardwalk has a nice, relaxed atmosphere. The clown slide is fun. The Poly is more crowded.

For 2 adults, we always choose boardwalk. Being able to walk to Epcot, our favorite park is wonderful.

i’d vote poly, because we love the oasis pool. we don’t tend to swim when we go without kids, but if we did it would be here.

HI - sorry...i was on my kindle so typing is slow. we are staying at both (i know lucky us--yeah dvc newbie)... I'm trying to SLOW down ...and enjoy the resorts....so I'm doing a pool day for hubby & I and I was trying ot figure out which pool we would enjoy more... think poolside, drinks, maybe food...chilling in the sun with relaxing view...not so much as swimming ...

For us, Boardwalk for sure. Awesome bar, great atmosphere and usually nice and quiet.

I would choose Poly. The BWI pool has a nice slide and is usually pretty empty, but that's about it. I personally think the BWI has the worst pool bar on property from a food and snack perspective. The only negative to the Poly pool is that it will likely be more crowded, but that trade off would be worth it to me for the view and better food options.

Boardwalk, unless, as someone pointed out, you want the best pool bar. The pool bar is better at Poly. The pool experience, in my opinion, especially for adults, is BW. The Poly pool area is very, very crowded. I also thought the pool itself felt smaller than the one at BW, but that could have been due to the number of people in the pool. I found the quiet pools at BW actually quiet. No one was swimming in the one on the Inn side the day we tried it out last July (around 4 PM, no thunderstorms). The Oasis pool, on the other hand, still gets quite busy; going back to my first point, there is a pool bar at the Oasis pool; to the best of my knowledge, neither quiet pool at BW has a pool bar (only the Luna Park pool does). So if the pool bar (or the water slide...adults can like water slides too!) is important, I'd go with the Poly. If you want a quieter, more relaxed pool and/or poolside experience, I'd go with BW.

Personally, I love BW for so many reasons, one of which is that I prefer the pool experience there . My DD loves the pool at the Poly (namely for the water slide), although she also likes the quiet pools because they aren't so busy. She didn't want to spend any time at the Oasis pool because she found it almost as busy as the Lava pool; she loved the quiet pool at the BW and wanted to know why the Poly didn't have a pool like that.

For just hubby and i?

The Pol
For just hubby and i?

With the addition/expansion of the outdoor area of Trader Sam's, and the addition of the kids splash area, and the vast amount of lush vegetation, the main pool area at the Poly, seems to me to have become a little too small and claustrophobic, considering the overall size of the resort. They reduced the size of the volcano slide, in an attempt to accommodate the expansions, but the new volcano doesn't even look like a volcano now and is pretty pathetic.

Well, if you want a view, I change my vote! Poly!

BWV is one of my home resorts. Given the info you've provided, I would choose the Poly Oasis pool. And I don't even like the Poly overall. However, their pool area surpasses the Clown Pool for pool bar and view.

I will point out that as a DVC member staying on points, you can hop to a number of pools on property. https://disneyvacationclub.disney.go.com/discounts-perks-offers/recreation-relaxation/pools/
If I was planning a complete pool day, I would go with the suggestion made by @_auroraborealis_ and go with the GF pools. It's an easy stroll between Poly and GF.

Consider renting a cabana/patio for the day at the Poly Oasis pool. I can’t quote the price, but it recall that it struck me as very reasonable for what you get: Guaranteed shade and comfy furniture, close proximity to the Oasis pool bar and grill, very pretty setting, and fewer crowds (and far less noise!) than the Lava pool. For our last two stays at the Poly, we had rooms facing the Oasis pool and I was coveting those patios!

Scary clown pool at BWI, no way--I go to the quiet pool when I'm there. I also prefer the quiet pool at the Poly as opposed to the main pool which can be really crowded.
