My wife and I are going to be in the Boardwalk area on Saturday, May 9th. As part of her Mother's Day gift she would like to have pizza that evening (May 9th) at Boardwalk Pizza Window. Can someone tell me if it will be open then? We've heard that Spoodles is closing and will become a Cat Cora restaurant so now I'm not sure if the Pizza Window will be open or not if they are refurbing the restaurant.

Thanks,
Jonny

A poster yesterday said they got an ADR for Spoodles the last week of July, so it will be open at least that long. I'd assume refurb of pizza will wait as well.

We are going May 18th thru the 26th

Tried to book at Spoodles, I forget what day, and was told it was closed do to a refurb

Not sure about pizza window

Your best bet is to call WDW dining and ask about Spoodles on that day specifically

Please, dont waste your time or money on Boardwalk Pizza, we waited for almost 1 hour, to get a pizza that was dried up, with no taste what so ever.
Have a pizza delivered from one of many places in the phone book. My DW
found a place that delivered in 35 min to the Beach Club, I think it was in LBV
area cant remember the name but it was last Oct. and the pizza was just like ones made in the North East!

The pizza may not be great, but the location is fantastic. Too bad there isn't a few more counter services on the boardwalk. I really enjoy getting the pizza and sitting by the water in the evening, and then getting something from the bakery. One of my favorite parts of my trip. I hope the pizza window stays open.

Pizza is one of those foods that everyone has an opinion on. Disney in general has not so great pizza - in my opinion - but I like the BW pizza OK. It's better to get a whole pie than to order slices that have been sitting for a while (much better :thumbsup2). Sure, you can get off property pizza for less money that will taste as good, or in many cases, better, but if you are wanting the ambiance of the location, the pizza is fine.

I hope they keep a pizza window along the BW after the new restaurant opens. Even if they change the pizza some, it's just so nice to order a pie and take it back to the villa or room for dinner, without having to pay all the tips and delivery charges.

Bump, I want to know more about Spoodles pizza window.

The window is accessible from the Boardwalk. It's a walk-up window that opens at 11:30. The menu is pizza by the slice or the whole pie. The current prices are $3.49 for cheese slice and $3.99 for a pepperoni slice and I think the slice are big (Sabarro size). A whole cheese pie is $17.99 with toppings $1.50 each extra (pepperoni, mushrooms, sausage, onions, black olives, extra cheese, peppers). Beer and sangria (which I think is excellent and wonderful on a hot day) as well as soft drinks are available.

Like a previous poster said, the location is wonderful. There are tables across the way and there is nothing better than sitting there, having a slice of pizza, drinking a beer and watching the Friendship boats sailing around Crescent Lake. And if the Breathless II is running around, it's pure heaven.
