Boardwalk Parking

A few years ago, even as off-site guests, we were able to park at the Boardwalk in order to just look around the shops. Although we had to stop at the front gate the guard admitted us no problem.

I know security is much tighter now, so is it still possible to do this? Is there a time limit on parking? Do you need to have P.S. at one of the restaurants to get in?

We have always been able to park at the Boardwalk without any problem. We are usually headed to the bakery and just tell them at the gate. If you think you might have a problem, them make a PS for one of the restaurants.

If the lot is crowded, they will tell you to park across the street in the lot next to the gas station. That lot is unguarded.

Yes...security is tighter but you can still park @ the Boardwalk to visit and look around only if you are not a guest of the resort there is a 3 hr. limit.

And..Yes..they DO check. People with handicap cards can valet park for free.

In Dec, I had PS's for the flying fish and did tell/show my conf # to the guard.
Its a good thing they are sooo tough.

Ive heard some will try to park there..then go to EPCOT or MGM for the evening and thats..IMHO... very wrong.

You can always park at the Swan and walk over. It's not far at all. There are no guards at the Swan parking lot.

Did they give you a 3 hr pass? I was there in early Dec and they didn't give me a pass or even mention a limit as to how long I could stay. This surprised me. I wonder if its based on the season and crowds as to when they hand out parking passes.
