I am an owner at BWV, and the parking situation has always been my #1 complaint. However, I just returned home, and never once had a problem with parking, including returning back from Downtown Disney just before Illuminations. Is this because Disney security is doing something different, or was it just a slow time for the Boardwalk? There were poles up blocking the 'main' entrance of the parking lot, but if you circled around to the entrance across from the conference center, you could get in that way.

doing the food/wine festavial they don't let anyone in their parking lot who is not staying there.

but that is the only time they generally enforce their rules.

I just found it odd that at 8:30PM there was plenty of parking available in the Boardwalk main lot. I never, in the 5+ years I've owned at BWV, seen that main lot that empty at night. Lets hope this trend continues! :)

It could be a consequence of *much* more expensive rental cars. For the past six months to a year, MCO rentals have been very pricey, and I would not be surprised to hear that more people were using ME.

No miracle has occurred. Not sure when you were last there but those poles blocking that entrance to the lot have been up for over two years. Likely just a slow season.

We were there during the flower and garden festival and star wars weekends this year. Both times they were only allowing guests of the boardwalk or people with reservations through the gates. This was very helpful in finding spots :).
