Hi Everyone,

I wanted to ask the pros opinions on requesting rooms at the BWV. I have 2 studios facing the boardwalk. My concern is that it will be too loud at night. Could anyone suggest 2 studios to request that may be quieter at night.

Thanks,
Lisa

I have 2 studios facing the boardwalk.

Boardwalk views are not guaranteed, they are only a request. Since they are only 20% of the total rooms, they can be difficult to get. I had a preferred view reservation with a Boardwalk view request and got quiet pool view. It was a quiet area with a view of MGM and the canal.

BWV Boardwalk View-We have never been bothered by any noise at night. It was not any noiser than the quiet pool view.

After having the Boardwalk viewthen the quiet pool view, I can say it was not that noisy. Enjoy the view, if you can get it.

I have been lucky and have gotten a boardwalk view many times over the years, the view is fantastic btw, I never have had a problem with noise.

We've had the BW view 3 out of 4 times and LOVE it - BUT it is a bit noisy. This is not a problem for dh & me, and it's not a problem for my oldest dd. It's the little ones (6 & 9) that are bothered by it. They love to sit on the balcony and people-watch, but we find that bedtime is much, much later than when we stay at OKW or VWL. Still worth it - we put our request in for next year.

As far as I can tell any view is a relatively quiet view as long as it isn't in the "box canyon" that includes the main pool (Luna Park. Believe me, in the future I intend to avoid Luna Park like the plague. Of course quiet is a relative thing.

So far the quietest DVC I've stayed in has been VWL with a swamp (woods) view. Some early morning bus noise & that's it. OKW was noiser because of the air conditioners....only a factor in studios I guess. I suspect the quiet pool view in BWV probably rivals the VWL swamp view for sheer lack of noise.

Hey Lisa,

I recently had a one bedroom over the boardwalk and there was no noise in my opinion. The view was breathtaking and that alone was a huge plus for us. The only thing I ever heard with the doors shut was the boat horns, but that was all. ENJOY that boardwalk view if you get it.

We have had the Boardwalk view, when we stayed with relatives in one of the Grand Villas. We had a little noise from the ringing bell everytime the game you spray water into the clowns mouth was played. We also stayed in a non preferred studio overlooking the front entrance and had excellent view of fireworks from Epcot every night.
