I always thought the walk from beach club to epcot was shorter than the walk from boardwalk to epcot. And last I heard, Flying Fish had not reopened. And last I heard, room service had not returned to Boardwalk. If i’m wrong, i’m sure someone will post.

You are right about the temporary service shutdowns; haven’t been to WDW since January 2020 and don’t intend to return until the pandemic is over.

I know that the chef of FF is currently working at Trattoria al Forno which makes for lucky guests of that restaurant. As for the walk to EPCOT and HS definitely closer than YC/BC (check a map and you’ll note there is no walking path on that side for HS) but maybe the Friendship boats are faster on that side of the lake. As for room service, it’s shutdown temporarily just like the rest of the resorts’. Sorely missed and hoping it returns soonest.

If you're doing a 1B villa at BW and prefer to be down at the end closer to HS (and the bus stop), or if that's where they put you, you could see if 2123, 3123, etc. are available. They are slightly bigger being on a bend with a unique layout compared with other villas and a more-private balcony.

Also just to note - if you plan on beng at HS super-early ahead of rope drop, walking is about your only option. Everything else probably won't be up and running yet. The walk from BC really isn't bad, but it is longer than the one from BW.

Are the epcot resorts comparable? Or do you prefer one over the other?

We think Yacht/Beach Club is nicer with a much better pool area...but Boardwalk is not bad either, just wouldn't be our 1st choice out of them.

You're correct, thinking the pp just meant to say BWI was closer to DHS...cause it's definitely not to Epcot.
