We are going to stay at the Boardwalk in this year. We normally stay at the Beach Club our preferred resort. I thought we would mix it up this year. Across the lake is really mixing it up for me.

DS loves the pool at the Beach Club of course. Please tell me how the pool is at the Baordwalk?

What about food and ease of use??????? The refillable mugs ? where can you refill them. It is not as easy at the deluxe resorts as it is at Moderates I know

Any info would be appreciated really. I have also heard about faxing a request a few days before you go asking about upgrades and room preference. I have never done that. We go every year but I just take what they give me and have of course always been so pleased.

Just being insecure. I know all Disney is wonderful

I can't help you with the pool questions or the refillable mugs since I've done neither, but I've stayed at BC & BW and they are both fantastic. Certainly BC is more laid back and easy-going, but the decor and theming at BW if fun and has a certain energy.

So I'll give you a bump so that others can better answer your questions!

We have stayed at both resorts. Both are great but the poll at the BW was a long walk ( we were in a room above ESPN club) the pool has a cute slide but it is nothing like storm along bay. The pool it's self was just a plain old pool. My kids did not really care for it. YC/BC, Poly, and AKL are their favorite pools in that order. There are many great food choices along the boardwalk for both sit down and take out. We did not use the refillable mugs.

Hi ampooh,

We have had the good fortune to have stayed at the BWI three times and found everything about it just great. We enjoyed the main pool area very much, and the long roller coaster shaped slide always had a line. Leaping Horse Libations (pool bar) has tasty drinks and snacks, and, I believe, one of the places you can get the mugs re-filled. Other places would be Boardwalk Joe's on the boards - when open - the Bakery, and maybe the following: Bellevue Lounge in the AM, Seashore Sweets, Spoodles take-out window.

Of course you know how great the location is, and if you get to miss the BC too much, it's just a short walk. Really, we think you will love the BWI. Have a most magical trip!!

We like it so much, it have made it our home resort for DVC :flower:

The location, of course, is great. But the atmosphere is colorful and fun and feels more like a great old hotel. The theming is superb -- from the pictures to the knick-knacks in the lobby, you really feel like you are at the shore.

I believe you can refill mugs at the Bellevue and at the Bakery.

And the pool! My wife likes the "roller coaster" theme slide much better than the one at Stormalong Bay. "Not as hard on my butt," she says.

Whatever.

You will have a great time.

BWI is great. pool is great, my kids love it. convenient restaurants. we have stayed there twice and asked for lagoon views both times. stayed next to espn zone once and flying fish the other time. both rooms great and quiet. highly recommend the boardwalk inn.
