My husband and I just booked the Boardwalk Inn concierge for a week in mid-july. I had a few questions that I was hoping someone could answer.

1.) Since we just booked yesterday and are already within the 60 day window for making priority seatings, I would like to contact the concierge. Does anyone know the email address?

2.) Can anyone suggest good room numbers/range of numbers to request. Ideally we would like a King bed, BW view with a full balcony.

3.) Can anyone comment on the recent staff and/or food offerings in the lounge.

Thank you.

Hi sl23-

I'm sorry, I can't really answer your questions, but I felt bad that no one had a reply for you, so I thought I would volunteer! I was at the BWI Concierge in Jan/Feb and absolutley loved it!!!

I don't remember our room #, and don't have the e-mail addy for concierge. I do remember food offerings, however! B'fast was lots of fresh fruit, bagels and muffins, cereal and juices. Dessert was lucious choc-covered strawberries, the famous WDW choc-chip cookies, various tortes and cheesecakes, and smaller finger pastries ( a fabulous coconut - chocolate brownie stands out) (are you catching on to my chocolate thing here - LOL!). They also had a large assortment of liqeuers (spelling?).

I was gone all day so can't tell you about luch or dinner snacks.

We were at the YC Concierge last fall and it did seem to me they had a larger assortment of offerings at the YC. However, I promise you won't go hungry!

Plus, the BW is just so heavenly, you won't even notice! The BW is my #1 FAVE resort - I'm very excited for you!!! Enjoy! you will be so happy you stayed at the BW!!!

We are staying Concierge at BWI in August. We have been in contact with the concierge. The email address is boardwalk.concierge@disney.com

When we spoke to them, we asked for a room overlooking the Boardwalk. It turns out that the Deluxe rooms are all overlooking the BW! They can advise you of the location of King Size rooms when you speak to them. They will telephone you if you ask them. Donald Hughes who we deal with is extremely helpful. I hope you have a great time - post when you get back!

Does anyone know if all of the deluxe rooms are on the fourth floor where the lounge is located? How big are these room? I have seen the floor plan, but does anyone know the square footage? Finally, if they face the Boardwalk, how noisy are they? Thanks!

I can't help you out with any of the room sizes and location, but I do know about the noise.

We had a deluxe (I think - it was a standard bedroom with a sitting room adjoining at one end. It wasn't really adjoining, more like "continued on". The bedroom only slightly narrowed as it became the sitting room. I would say the sitting room was 50 -60% of the size of the bedroom.) last Jan/Feb. It was directly over the "Seaside Sweets" sign.

The noise was not a problem at all - we couldn't hear anything at night, except the fireworks! We did have the TV on at night till about 11, but it wasn't blaring, and it wasn't on to cover the outside noise. I admit I was a little concerned about noise as well, when I first saw the room. It was never a problem at all.

Enjoy! I love the Boardwalk Inn!

Thanks for the response. On what floor was your room located? I thought that I read somewhere that the deluxes are on the second floor.

We were on the fourth floor, kitty-corner from the concierge desk, next to the Steeplechase Suite. The lounge is down the hall. They don't always have a concierge sitting at the concierge desk, they also have a desk in the lounge, and there is always someone there.

The different thing about the BW Concierge is that the entire floor isn't concierge. You walk down to what appearsz to be the end of a hallway, swipe your key, and double doors unlock for you to enter the concierge area.

Perhaps they have rroms on other floors with concierge access, I don't know. I would think it wouldn't be too convenient to stay on another floor, however. The BW is pretty spread out. It wouldn't be fun to walk from a room on the 2nd floor all the way down the hall, to the elevator, off the elevator, down the hall, throught the double doors, and down another hall just for a cookie!

The concierge area is a little out of the way, but once you are there it is all close by. Don't expect a room near the elevators, however.

Oops, I forgot! It's very possible that deluxe rooms are on the second floor. I don't know what my room was called, I just know it wasn't a standard.

Does anyone know if all of the concierge rooms are located in one location or are they spread throughout the fourth floor? We have a standard concierge room booked and are trying to figure out approximately where our room will be located (i.e. by Seashore Sweets or way down by ESPN Club).

Thank you.

the concierge rooms start right about Seashore Sweets and go down to the ESPN club.

I believe there are suites (jr. suites?) on other floors. The garden suites are outside by the quiet pool. They all have concierge privileges. :)

And yes, it was a long trip to the lounge.:(

How long does it take to walk from a garden suite to the concierge lounge? Is the garden suite very large? It seems like the suite would be a great place to stay. Also, are there TVs/VCRs on both levels? Thanks!

The lounge is located right above the garden suites. So timewise, 4 minute walk from elevator to lounge, 4-5 minute walk from garden sute to elevator, plus the elevator ride/wait.

The garden suite on the lower floor has a kitchen with some dishes, utensils etc., a rec room, and half bath. Kitchen doesn;t have a table. Rec room has couch & chair, coffee table, small round table with two chairs, TV VCR.

Upper floor is a loft which looks over the 1st floor. King bed, TV VCR. Bathroom has a LARGE jacuzzi, separate HUGE shower (4ft x 8 ft) and small TV over the sick (could watch TV from the jacuzzi).

Outside, we had our own garden, white picket fence, mailbox (decoration only) and birdhouse. Some of the suites shared a garden.

It was nice to do it for a special occasion (aniversary).:Pinkbounc :bounce:

I didn't know the actual size until californiadreaming posted it on another thread (700 ft2). She also mentioned a wet bar. I don't remember seeing one.

Thanks for the response and the great description! It sounds like a bit of a hike to the lounge!

I think that Cali was calling the kitchen area the wet bar. In our room at the GF there was a wet bar. No dishes or anything, but a pantry (honor bar), sink, counter space and a cabinet below.

I am curious, when I look at a map of the BWI, where are the garden suites located? Do they have a view of the quiet pool? Where is the entrance to the lobby/elevators? Thanks!

The garden suites have a view of the quiet pool. Theyare located along the resort wing that runs along the Boardwalk.

The lobby is between BWI and BWV. If you're coming in from the water side, you have to climb the stairs to get to the lobby. There is also a small elevator. From the lobby, you walk down the BWI hall (almost to the end) to get to the resort elevators. Continuing on, you go outside, down the steps and bare left. As you walk along the path, the garden suites will be on your left.

Thanks for the help! One more question :) which suite did you stay in and do you have any recommendations on room requests for the garden suites? Or are they basically all the same? Thanks!

stayed in room 1208.

I'm not sure about the interior room layout, but the exteriors were different.

The pictures josierac linked to looks like ours inside. Outside, the gardens were laid out differently. One picture (13 of 29) shows a side of a building. This also has rooms ( 3 or 4 I think) without gardens. I am not sure these were considered garden suites, but they were included in the number sequence. Ours was on the other side of the building extension. This extension is right about where the concierge lounge was located. You can see the conciege balcony in the picture.

The suite josier took pictures of had bigger garden area.

I don't remember how the numbers ran. If josier responds with what that suite number, it would help to determine what suites to ask for (or not ask for)

Hi Ed and MJS. The pictures I linked to aren't mine but from I site that I frequent that has great pictures of alot of disney.

You can go over to the site and e-mail the owner of the site, who did stay in that room, for the suite number.
