What time does the Halloween Party at BW start? What is it like? There are 18 of us, ages 5 to 69. Will it be a good time for all ages?
Thank you!
Lori

What Halloween party? :confused3

Funny, I was going to ask the same thing. I've stayed at BWV many times in October and haven't seen a party. Tell me, as you can see that is where we will be the last week of October.

For the past few years on Halloween night on the village green, there has been a party. There were photo ops with a few characters dressed in costumes and music. Illuminated ghosts were projected onto the building, and there were a few places to trick-or-treat along the boardwalk. And I think a few kids' activities. (Was alone with no kids, so I didn't pay attention to this detail.)

There was a sign with party info at the boat dock with the date/time. I think it started sort of early and did not last too long. (Maybe 2 hours.)

That sounds perfect! I read about it on another board, and thought there might be a few DVCers that have attended it and might have more information for me. It is only Halloween night, right? 2 hours sounds about right. Now I just need to find out what time it starts, so we won't be late! Thanks MdmMim.

Yes, the BW party is only on Halloween, but last year trick or treating at DTD was for 2 nights, Halloween and it's eve. We were staying on site and I just called WDW information from the hotel and asked them about the trick or treating and the party. I forget what time the BW party began, but we were there around 7 and there were lots of things happening. Our DGC got little craft kits that they used to make bracelets the next day, and they got temporary tatoos, and there was a DJ and dancing.

There was trick or treating along the Boardwalk as well.

This sounds like a lot of fun. Do you think a 12 year old boy would enjoy Boardwalk or DTD better for Halloween?

I think there are things at both he would enjoy...probably Boardwalk, and if that doesn't suit, then take the bus to DTD!

PS. The CM's have pumpkin carving contests, and the BW lobby had a wonderful display of excellent pumpkins. I was staying at the WL, they had some too. I don't know if all resorts have them, but the ones in the BW lobby were the best!

I have to admit I am starting to get excited about Halloween at Disney. Who cares what my DS wants - I want to go to BW and DTD!!! :woohoo:

DH was not a Halloween enjoying type of person. However, we had so much fun last year, maybe because of the DGC, but also maybe he just was more relaxed, that he was asking me about going to WDW again at Halloween. Since Halloween is on a Saturday next year I'm very seriously considering asking the family down again...maybe Thursday or Friday through Monday. I'll spend the weekend points, but I hesitate about asking the family to spend the airfare for a shortened trip.
