My DH and I, along with my DParents, will be spending a week in the World in December. I'm reluctant to overload DH with ::MickeyMo . This is his first (and very possibly last)time. :lmao: It's taken me 5 years to convince DH that a Disney trip *will* be fun.

I hate to say it, but the man is just clueless. I have tried explaining TheMagic to him, but he can't wrap his brain around the concept. His usual response to me when I bring up said trip is "I don't ride rides, I don't care what we do." :sad2:
My DParents, on the other hand, have been to WDW several times. They enjoy the pixiedust: and they are loads of fun to travel with. :lovestruc
In an effort to make this a fun trip for us all, I'm thinking seven days in the parks will not be a good idea.:rolleyes1 I'd love some ideas for things to do that are not Disney related.
I will be celebrating(if you can call it celebrating) nearly half a century  while we are there. My party will be on Main Street during MVMCP  I called for tix today

We won't have any children with us. We are driving, so we'll have a car.

Can we spend a whole day at The Boardwalk? Early dinner at Spoodles, perhaps. Last trip we spent a whole day at DTD. It was too much, even for me. :rotfl:

Staying off property at Emerald Island. Also planning a day at Seaworld.

I'd love to hear your thoughts!

There really isn't much to do there during the day. A few shops and restaurants will be open...that's about it. The entertainment (jugglers, magicians, etc.) come out in the early evening. I don't know what you'd do there all day.

If I had time and a car, I'd toodle on over to Celebration and walk around town to check it out and have dinner.

No way, unless he's going to spend the whole time at the ESPN Club or the brewery.

Oh wow I can't believe I didn't even think of Celebration! Thanks for reminding me!

That'll give us two non-Disney days...should be enough to counteract the Mouse, don't ya think?;)

Not sure if it will be your DH's thing, but that time of year you can also do a resort tour to check out all the holiday festivities.

We usually spend the better part of a day bebopping around from resort to resort to check out the holiday decorations, shop, snack, soak up the atmosphere - so festive! :santa:

And if you want to up the ante a bit, you can do a monorail dinner or drinks tour. Park at one of the resorts on the Monorail and then go from one to the next - loads of atmosphere and lots to check out.

For a dinner tour have drinks/appetizers at one resort, entrees at another and dessert at a third.

Or do the lounge tour and share a drink/apps in a lounge in each resort, relax and just people watch.

Still Disney, I know - but a lot less.... Mouse-y. ;)

Good luck and have fun!

This sounds like something we would all like to do. Love the 'dinner tour' idea!
